Default Luster and Metallic Rub Ons

Several people have asked me what they are....check out their website. They make a few different types!

www.craf-tproducts.com

I have one each of luster and metallic and hope to find the others!!

I have been wondering about the rub-ons. Are they pretty easy to use? Do you just get a sheet and then rub off?

I've had them for months and I don't think I'm using them correctly at all. I don't like the way it looks when I use them.

Any suggestions on the best techniquest to use with rub-ons?

Thanks,
Kelly

Mel - it's a creamy substance, so it's really easy to use.
I like it on the reverse side of vellum, it looks really cool...
On the back it says the more you rub them the better they look...use your fingertips too (so it says), then leave for an hour to "dry" ~ I found they didn't really dry at all, so I just make sure that I back it on to something, or put something OVER it (like vellum).

They look great on white paper....especially the metallic. I have honestly only used them a couple of times but I've liked what it's done so far!

Thanks~ maybe I'm not letting them dry enough. I'll try them again this weekend and see what I can come up with. I've tried heat embossing an image and then rubbing the metallics on top. It looks funky, but I'm going to try some other versions of this... and will try your vellum idea for sure!

Take care.

I have one of these and am sad that I didn't get more at a convention a few months ago. There was a booth that had them for $3.00, that is a great deal. Ugh, I should of just bought them.

Thanks for the great idea with using them with vellum I'l have to try that this evening.

I love the rub ons.... I have all four palettes and I use them all the time. I love to use them over chalk, I gives the chalk a cool shimmer. I apply it with an eyeshadow applicator. Can't say enough about them

The only thing I don't like is that when you scan a card the scan doesn't show the shimmer very well

I agree! The scans in my gallery really don't show the metallic or luster effect do they Jovi??

My big "dream" is to find them here in Canada. I bought mine from someone on Rubber Traders (do you all know about THAT little gem??) and got one each of luster and metallic. Must. Find. More!!!
