Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone would be at the Craft & Hobby show next month in Anaheim. The show is for the trade and it is where all the craft companies go to show their products and usually where they debut new items. If you aren't attending, I plan to bring lots of pictures and video footage of the show back to share. I will be sure to get some of the many stamp booths.
Regards,
Ilysa
I plan on attending--I signed up for like 5 classes, including the quickly SOLD-OUT Tim Holtz one. I also signed up for the Suze Orman and Disney Dinner event...I went to the Summer CHA and it was the BEST fun! I can't wait to see all the new stuff the companies have come out with--just a month away now.
I get to go with the brand new stamp company that's opening up. I'll be in the new products section under Unity Stamp Company. OMG you guys are going to be amazed at what we've got!!! I'm so excited!

Hooray carrie! i am excited to be designing for you guys!!! (sorry to hijack the thread. . .back to the CHA conversation!)
i will be living vicariously through my artwork that will travel to CHA, but i won't be there in person!

I so wish I could go~ how fun!!!

Oh,lucky you! I tried to get in that Tim Holtz class, no luck. I sure am looking forward to going and just experiencing the show! And to meet all my blogging friends and stamping idols!
I'm really jealous. I live in New Jersey, so it's a bit far to just drive over for a couple days. I would give anything to be able to go there. I realize the purpose of it, but still the consumer can get lots of information from attending. I wish I had the $$ to take a bus trip out there to attend. I like NJ, but would certainly go out there for the CHA.
Sorry, but seeing pictures is just not the same as being there.
Actually, it's an industry/trade show, not a consumer show.
Manufacturers present their lines, and new products to retail store owners who come to see what's coming for 2008 to stock their store shelves with.
And since you seem to have a grasp of what's to come, or shall I say current trends....
What do you think will be new and exciting there? and is SCS going again???
Well, it's all relative, now, ain't it, Jeanne?! ;)
*chuckle*
Hey Julie....hmm...lets see...i think you need a bodyguard to go with you....or maybe a spotter.....or a stylist (nope that can't be me) ok...a coffee runner? ....or a slipper getter? any of those ringing a bell for you? OH>...... I can make a martini too! A luggage lugger?
I am really looking forward to it this year. Over the summer I didn't actually attend the Tim Holtz class but just before the class I had to go in and introduce myself. He was very nice and put me in touch with Rangers polymer clay person, Debbie Tlach. I will make sure to see if I can bring back some footage of one of Tim's demos for you to see. I have press passes so I can film if the person gives me permission. I would love to meet up with anyone going. Looking forward to all the goodies there.
Regards,
Ilysa

Okay, so I'm sorely dunce and missing the point:
Can anyone attend, just not purchase? _______ yes
_______ nope
thanx!

I can't wait to go! I think I registered for six or seven classes!
GLAD I'm wasn't the ONLY one that signed up for a million classes! LOL!
I was actually waiting on my computer the MOMENT they OPENED up registration (being the nerd that I am!) and KNEW the Tim Holtz class would SELL OUT! $30 is WAY cheaper than other places you take his class.
I had the absolutely the BEST fun ever at the Summer show! I met so many nice ladies! There was SO MUCH to see! I think I built up my Biceps from ALL the catalogs I was dragging around in my tote!
If I give my craft room a name and sell stuff out of it does that count as my own store? I am sure I could keep my customers happy for years to come! I have all of the new gadgets and products thanks to SCS! Then can i go too? My husband says if I do this he will drive me there personally just to get my craft room cleared!
I'll be there, and instructing in the Copic booth! I'll be at the CHF booth one day, as well!
Can't wait to see y'all!!
NO!! This is totally not fair. You are going from NC, a mere hop skip and a jump from Virginny all the way to the evil mudsliding west coast to teach the copics? consider this my second whine of this thread!!!!!

DisneyDoll, keep an eye out for companies that need help at the last minute. In years past, I have seen a couple of posts where a company is looking for someone in the area to help them at their booth (by getting someone local, it minimizes their cost for airfare, hotel, etc.).
I won't be going to this show - just too hard to get out to the west coast while the boys are in school. See you in Chicago! ;)

Trudee,
We are doing a show on Copic markers, Copic sent us samples to use on the show as well. We are definitely stopping by the booth, do you have your schedule?

Oooh.......Jenn! SUPER heads up on that one! I'll have to keep on scanning the boards for someone needing help! I'm VERY personable, so would be great to have @ a booth! And then I could scream "It's JULIE!" or "WOW! BadSherry!" when those people come up to the booth. (Hee, hee!)

I know that I have read here somewhere in the past that if you are a SU demonstrator, hence you are a "teacher", you can go to this show. Dont know when or where I read this but I swear I did...
