Last night I ruined my MM cutting board. Whatever possessed me to try to cut a chipboard panel, I'll never know and this morning my Canon Power Shot, only two years old, gave me the kiss of death error message E18. I google it and come to find out this is a huge problem that Canon refuses to stand by. Urrrrgh...okay, I am going to have a better day  Thanks for letting me vent...I'll stamp, but you'll just have to imagine my creations!!!

Sorry to hear about your cuttlebug and camera. My Canon received the kiss of death of E18 2 weeks ago. I am still in mourning and debating whether or not to buy a different brand of camera.
So sorry to hear about your bad luck. :( I hope you are stamping up a storm today in good spirits!

Hmmm... sounds like Canon is inviting its customers to look into Olympus, Panasonic, Sony, etc etc instead of its own brand! FWIW, all of my cameras (point-and shoot film, and digital) have been Panasonic and I love 'em!
not to highjack this thread.....but I have a Cannon Powershot that is 2 yrs old??? I haven't heard of this problem??? What is it??
that's okay, here is what I know after this morning...you can goole E18 and read all about it...not a very pretty story though. It has to do with your lens moving in and out of the housing. I was taking pictures to upload and it just stayed stuck when I tried to turn it off. I have a Powershot S2IS...had really enjoyed it..until now..mine was two years old Christmas. Now I am trying to figure out which way to go with a new camera. Not another Canon for sure.
TFS! We are considering buying a new digital camera and stories like this are good to hear about. I would rather pay a little more even than buy from a manufacturer that doesn't stand behind their product.
