Hey, all! I love swaps, but am starting to get overwhelmed with how to store them. I would love to hear all your ideas. I would like to be able to show them at my stamp camps and etc.
I keep mine in a 2" 3 ring binder, 4 cardfronts to a transparency (so the recipe can still be seen) & then in a sheet protector. I usually take this to my WS' so customers can see the samples.

I don't have this problem yet as I am still new and still have time to do baggie books. My upline, though, keeps hers in a picture box. She covers it and stamps it. You can buy them everywhere, but since you could cover it, buy it at Wal-Mart or some other discount store.

I first put each card in our awesome SU clear envelopes. Then I store them in the plastic shoe boxes (made by Rubbermaid I think?) that I get at Wal-Mart----they have the two piece plastic lid that divides in the middle and it flaps out to each side...never loose the lid that way!
I have a big basket. I can store them all upright.

I just have a long bread basket I put mine in so my customers can flip through them. I try to keep my swap cards down to a manageable number, so on cards that I have had for awhile or won't use anymore, I give them away as part of a door prize.
We use the big Crop in Style accessories binder with the quarter page (divided in four) pages. I am preferring this to a box. The samples do not get damaged, you can organized pages by set or season, it is easy for 2 or 3 people to look at, it zips closed so nothing falls out. I also carry a rubbermaid-type box with a handle on top for all of my 3D/non-card samples.

Sterilite> If it's the blue lid boxes from WallyWorld, it's Sterilite. I have 4 boxes of them. I hadn't seen any made by Rubbermade, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there at other WalMarts, ours just doesn't carry them.
The super awesome ones I keep on a table tent or gator board display. I had never thought of the transparency idea. That would be a great idea and the ones with PE would lose the PE from too much handling. Very creative.
I tried the plastic photo albums but the 'slots' are 4x6 size and cards are too big - 4.25 x 5.5. Has anybody had any luck finding albums that cards fit into?
I have a longaberger basket I have some samples in that I bring to shows, but I am in the process of putting together a binder.. I got the crop in style page protectors that have 4 sections on a page that are about 6x6.. that way I can put the cards horizontal or vertical, and I found a plain binder to put them in at Target of all places (I din't want the big crop in style binder) I am going to have them in sections by theme and some also by stamp set...
I am also thinking about putting togther some display boards for mini catalog samples or someting.. I want to have lots of options I guess..lol!
I have a large shoebox that my cards all stand up in - using no lid. I have them all in baggies, alpahbetically sorted by the name of the Stamp Set used. I put all cards used by the same stamp set in the same baggie (Quart sized). I only use baggies that have the write-on label in the front, using a Sharpie and put the name on it.
My fullest baggie is Fishy Friends! When I'm going to use a stamp set to show someone, I just pull that baggie out and take those sample cards to take with me. I have a few mini albums I got from the Dollar Tree, and I can easily slide the card fronts in there to show, or make a cello sampler with a topper, and then just put them back in the baggie after my workshop. It's like having a mini gallery on hand! I've been swapping for a little over a year now, and I need to start a second box, but I love this system, it's what my upline taught me and she can get to them easily, quickly, and it's not a difficult system. You just need a shelf for them because you can't stack them (no lids.)
My trading cards I just keep in Baseball Card holder/sheets in a notebook, and don't try to alphabetize them. "Someday" I will organize them via technique (ie: Polished stone, serigraph, masking, etc.)

I just bought the cutest basket that I will use to keep current samples in. I love baskets! I would love to get into Longeberger but they are a bit high for my pocketbook right now. Look out tho if I start working again! lol
I will have to check out the Crop in Style protectors. I need something to keep them all organized.

My Target in Santa Fe Springs (South LA County, CA) have some 2 pocket photo refill pages on a temporary price cut. They are for 4x6 photos, but standard cards will fit just fine (6x6 fit too if you put them in the bottom pocket and let it stick out). They have two pockets on the front and two on the back and will fit in a standard 3 ring binder or one of the smaller photo ring albums - they have multiple holes punched in the sheet. They come in packs of 10 pages, reg $2.99, on sale for $1.99. I bought 5 packs when I found them! They are called: Furio Home, CD/Photo refills. They are acid free/archival. The sale sign said "2 UP Refills" or something like that and they were with the photo albums and frames. There are other similar ideas out there - baseball card pockets and other photo pockets on the internet that fit in binders.
I went to Target today to check out some of the photo pages. The Furio Home CD/Photo refill packs are perfect for 5.5 x 4.25 size cards because they are CD size. They come in packages of 10 pages (holds 40 photos) & they're reduced to $1.99 from $2.99 here in Tallahassee too.
The photo pages for 4x6 photos are too small. I found some pages for two 5x7 photos at Michael's but they were open across the top and the cards just slipped out.
I store my cards in a wooden CD holder. They fit in there perfectly! It is easy to transport and easy for people to look through. People can pull out a handful and look at them, read the recipes, and then put them back when done. There is no order for them. If it is raining or snowing I put it in a plastic bag. This is an inexpensive way to store them!
I'm such a weenie - I like them in a notebook so I can leaf through it and look at them! I like having them in protectors so they don't get grubby too.
I keep mind in the rubbermaid clear shoeboxes and then in clear envys so that they don't get dirty when people are handling them www.clearbags.com 100/$5-6 can't remember which but they are well worth the price.

I have 3-ring photo page binders with protectors. I get them at Century photo (www.centuryphoto.com). Look for the Polaroid size (4.25x5.5"). It works great. I can get 8 cards in one page. The more you buy the more you save. I usually get a few people together and we all order to make it a little cheaper.
