Default Crayon Theme Birthday party ideas needed

Hi there!

ok so I am going to do a crayon birthday for my 2 year old htis year! I will be making a crayon box cake with crayons, making his invites and thank yous...as well as making crayon flashards for the goodie bags and crayon pretzels.

I need an idea for the invite though...something catchy the ties in with the crayon theme. You know like for frogs "hoppy birthday"

I just need something cute that I can use the goes along with crayons..or art theme or something like that...the only thing I can think of is you color my world..which is more fitting for a scrapbook page!

Any help or other crafty ideas are greatly appreciated! You ladies always make me look so good!

How about...

Your invited to (name of child)'s colorful Birthday Party!

(name of child) is celebrating their (two crayons) Birthday!

I think it would be cute to have a paper table cloth so the 'guests' could draw/color pictures for the Birthday Boy and you can use it as a keepsake or to make thankyou cards.

I love the two crayons idea for representing the child's second birthday!

Also, you could make "color me cards" for the kids as favors...(Color me cards are ones where you stamp them in black open images, and include crayons for the kids to color in on their own to make the cards more from them...so many people have images of these in their galleries but here is a link to ones I made a long time ago if that helps!)

If you happen to have the retired SU crayon "style" stamps, they would be perfect to use. You could also see if you could find a crayon-type font to download.

I second the idea of the color-in cards. That would also make a really cute thank-you card. You could stamp the image and your 2 yo could color it in. How fun would that be for him!! Good luck--this sounds like a ball!

You could have each child come dressed in their favorite colour...then you could make coloured pointy hats to make them all look like crayons! Would make a cute picture...

Just a little point on your cake. Don't know if you have it all figured out but, just in case... A really easy way to make your cake crayons look like actual brand new crayons- don't try and make the crayon tips out of cake. Just ice an ice cream cone, placing it open side next to the body of the crayon and it look exactly like a brand new crayon!
