I was at Michael's today and on a bottom shelf barely noticeable...$1 wooden Valentines Stamps. they do not look like last years, at least I don't think so! They were pretty cute, then as I was about to leave...looked up and TA DAH...Easter stamps/Spring stamps too....what is going on here? I had been to 3 Michaels today (yes I was looking for something specific) and only one store had the wooden stamps. The Easter ones were cute too and there were a few religious ones for those interested. Maybe these were from last year, I don't know but I figured I would see if anyone else had spotted these? Could it be that Michaels is on the ball? Easter is very early this year and they even had Easter baskets and other Easter items..YIKES! They also had Valentines and St. Patty's Day stuff out too. Man...retailers sure don't waste time. LOL
WOW thats funny because I was at Michaels today and the $1 Valentines were on the very bottom bin also and the Easter were up at the top. I hate that they put so many in one bin also, its hard to look at them without them falling all over the place lol. I got 4 cute ones. Easter Basket, Chick holding a sign saying Happy Easter, XOXO, and Spring is Here.
any pics of them? Christmas eve we went to my hubbys familie house 2 hours away and i called the michaels there to see if they had them and they held them for me until i got there. talk about stamping mental illness!!:rolleyes:

My JoAnn's had the Valentines display up and ready BEFORE Christmas Day!
Thanks for the heads up! I dashed into Michael's today to buy the heart punch by Martha with my 50% coupon. I found them up by the checkout counter. I had exactly 45 seconds to grab some. I got these 3 Valentine stamps.
My Micheal's never gets the 1.00 stamps, I wish they did though I would love to get some Easter ones......My area Micheals never has good deals like so many others do.
I made a HAUL at Michaels today - the Valentine's stamps were in the bin below and the Easter stamps were in the top bin at the main check out counter!!!!
And I also found some new acrylic Studio G stamps there - mostly sping oriented (they had a deeper purple card inside - not sure what series they are). The really interesting one of these was a set about families - it had lots of itsy bitzy "heads" of men, women, kids and then tiny words to go along with like grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, aunt, uncle, etc. What interested me about this set was the size of the faces - they would fit inside 1/2" circle punch, I'm sure and they were absolutely darling! If I can figure out my new digital camera, and the new software program and then figure out how to do an attachment, I will do so (please don't hold your breath, I'm not geek-oriented, unfortunately! :rolleyes: ).
They were also unloading LOTS of new items for $1 bins. DF and I dug through boxes that were opened but not unloaded - we found some really gorgeously cute 3-D paper embellies that had teapots and fruits and such that will be fun for quick cards. They also had blingy items - self adhesive rhinestones in pretty pastels, shades of bright pink and also clear and more rhinestones in the shapes of hearts, flowers and butterflies.
There was also a tall rounder filled to the brim with new $1 spools of ribbons of all kinds.
Don't ask me how much I spent, I used cash so there would be no paper trail.....:cool:
I saw the new $1 Val & Easter stamps (oh, and the Studio G acrylics) at the Lynnwood, WA Michaels today. If you're in the area, you might want to swing by and grab them before they are gone. The Everett, WA Michaels has had the acrylics, too, but I don't know if they put out the wood mounted ones yet.
I was at the Michaels out by the Portland, OR airport this morning, they had no new Valentine or Easter stamps and the same Studio G acrylic stamps that have been out for at least a month or so. :( I did get some of those sparkly glitter butterfly and flower stickers, though. (I'm so ready to make Valentine cards for my kids' classmates.) I spent my 50% off coupon on a Martha Stewart border punch that makes these embossed diamonds.
I will be checking a few other area Michaels stores tomorrow...

so wondering if they will get easter stamps. they never had easter before just spring. really hoping for some fun easter stamps.

One of my favorite Easter stamps was a row of peeps - it was just outlines but very cute all the same! Lots of bunnies and chicks and eggs and other cute stuff as well as 3 religious Easter stamps - an open cross, Jesus in the fish symbol and "He Has Risen" ( a friend noted that we usually say "He IS Risen" rather than Has.).
The Easter/spring stamps were in a top bin at the checkout and being short in stature they were above my eye level - if DF hadn't stoppped to look at the Valentines stamps in the bottom bin I probably would have walked by and missed the stamps up high. So look high AND low when you are on your search! Good luck finding them where you are.

I have this pix posted at the top of this thread actually. There are 3 more in addition to these Easter stamps also, FYI.
I bought 5 of the Valentine stamps and 4 of the Easter stamps today at our Michael's here in Roanoke, Virginia. They had a really cute selection. I almost missed them,too. They were in a different place, near the registers with other Valentine and Easter stuff, not in the bin with their other $ stamps.
I was disappointed they didn't have more Valentine scrapbook paper,though.
The only paper with red heart was the same paper I bought last year.

My mom and I ended up sitting in the floor in front of the display as we dug through the valentine's stamps! What fun! She has her sewing room and I have my art/scrappin' room -- thus we needed 2 sets of all the stamps.

What M's were you at? I was at one of the Plano ones today and the only $1 stamps they had were some misc. wood ones with greetings and then a ton of the studio g series 7 clear stamps - wow these were really cute! But I didn't find any Easter or Valentines for $1? They did have those holiday-specific displays out for other things. Maybe they just haven't gotten to unloading the stamps yet?

I had picked up the Easter ones, but didnt see the Valentines one..which is odd. But I am missing 2 Easter stamps, but I have 22...I just know they come in sets of 24 all the time. Maybe I ought to call my Michaels again to see if they have the Valentines ones..maybe I'll get someone who isnt CLUELESS.

Well just got back from another Michaels other than my local one. I picked up all 23 of the Valentines Day stamps..They are going to call me for the missing
"Kiss Me"..I couldnt find that one, thanks for the picture...it really helps people out knowing what to look for.

yay finally our m'S IN LEOMINSTER MA. GOT EASTER STAMPS. They also have the spring stamps. I bought some of each.
I almost missed them they weren't in the dollar bin. but next to it on a rack near the registers.
I almost walked away thinking they didn't have any. Good thing I walked around.

Oh yes, I saw the Valentines Day last night. I have a extra set of the Series 7 and one set with only two missing if anyone needs them. If I don't sell them on the board, I'll return them. I just thought I would grab some while I was getting some for myself.
My Michael's only had the clear stamps. It looked like they just got them in. But none of the valentine or easter. I'm going to try another store tomorrow.
