Hi my name is Tracie and I am glad to be with you today.
I am a 39 year old SAHM who scraps most days!
Does that make me a scrapaholic?
I have an extensive stamp collection as I initially started out as a cardmaker. My love of stamping has carried itself over to my passion for scrapping with me stamping my own embellishments and titles for my pages.
My challenge for you is to take a look at your stamps and utilise them to create interesting and unique backing papers for your scrapbook pages or card designs.
I repeat stamped a sheet of plain pink paper to create the dress for my little poppet doll - using crystal gems gave the flowers that added bling!
Repeat stamping can turn what would be a pretty plain and uninspiring sheet of paper into something pretty amazing - go on have a try - get those stamps out and and enjoy!
Morning SCS
I am so thrilled to be joining you all
My name is Anna Louise , and I am the founder of Pencil Lines. An avid scrapper and sketcher, i love to incorporate stamping in my layouts. I have far too many stamps, than i use, and do have my firm favourites!
I have been scrapping for almost 3 years now and regulary contribute to our UK magazines. I live in a small viallge in the Uk with my beloved hubby and 2 beautiful girls.
Today I challenge you to use my sketch and incorporate stamping in your design, how ever you wish
I have stamped a border and stars on my layout and then used felt tip pens to colour in, giving an overall feel of hand drawn doodling!
Have fun and I cannot wait to see your creations
Happy holidays
Anna xx
Hi! My name is Sue and I'm very excited to be taking part in this challenge on behalf of Pencil Lines!
I have been scrapping for about two and a half years, having previously been an avid card maker. I am mum to two girls who are the main focus of most of my layouts. Most of my scrapping is done in the evenings once the house is quiet!
My early attempts at stamping were often a bit hit and miss! However, with the wide range of clear stamps now available I am now more confident with my stamping and admit to being the owner of an ever increasing collection!
My challenge to you is to use your stamps to create a border on either your layouts or cards.
I have attached two examples. On the Pirate layout , I used the swirl stamps to create the feeling of waves and on the Christmas card, I layered different colours to create a festive feel. I hope you enjoy my challenge and I look forward to seeing your creations
HI!!!!!
I am Annie Hafermann and in addition to being a momma, wife, runner, and scrapper..... I am a alphabet stamping addict. I love to mix alpha fonts using a variety of rubber, acrylic and foam stamps. I love to stamp with paint, ink, and chalk. I love the texture that different alpha stamps lend to a layout.
I challenge you to use your alpha stamps to create your title and your journaling!
I used gold paint and two different acrylic alphabet sets for my title and then used rubber stamps and black ink for my journaling.
I also mixed up my capital and lower case letters....LOVE the way it catches the eye!
I have posted Ania's challenge for her, as she is away for the holidays xHi I am Ania, Student. Mother. Wife. Scrapbooker. Photographerwannabe. I guess my life and who I am right now can be summarized in these words.
I live in a small island at the westcoast of Norway and have been an avid scrapbooker for two years - and just don't see myself quit anytime soon at all - quite contary - this hobby has quickly become a lifestyle and I am so thankful for all the selfish joys both scrapbooking and photographing gives me. I am really addicted to embossing at the moment, hence my challenge for you!
I hope you enjoy
I challenge you to make an embellishment and use embossing technique on your embellishment.
I have made an embellishment using chipboard, embossed and then added to my layout using 3d foam pads!
Ready, Set, Stamp!!!
Ania xx
Thank you for posting Ania's challenge - I hope she can come visit before the week is out!
That layout is so sweet. I've never covered such a small space on a page - I just might need to scraplift that. It has a great effect ;)
OMGosh these challenges ROCK! I'm starting to get back to my scrappin and I already have ideas for just about all these. Thank you ladies for these incredible challenges and your sample pages are just stunning!
Wow, that is a "MINI" album! What a great way to scrap specific events or give as a gift. I will have to keep an eye out for those.
the size kind of scared me. I printed the pictures on 5x7 paper - 4 to a page, then trimmed a couple for variety and to fit on the pages. I am planning on going to seeing family in SD early February so thought this would be great to pack, take along and share.
Thank you so much Anna!
Have been away in the sense of having had guests all Christmas (and still have) and the littlest one's been sick throwing down the house and now I'm sick myself. Ugh. Shan't scare you with the details, let's just say I hope the weightloss stays that way (hey ain't good for nothin uh? :P). Finally starting to feel ok about sittin in front of the PC for a longer amount of time *miss my net*
Anyways - just wanted to mention I loooove the combo of embossing, scalloped scissors and 3dfoam...almost rivals chipboard when you don't have any (or wanna save the precious pieces :p)
Favorite grandma: Such a lovely minibook! Esp love the "riveting" page - looks like a real seal which is just the look I love
Favorite Grandma, I just went into your gallery and checked out your whole album. It's fabulous! I love everything about it--the embellishments are super and I love the choice of Holiday Harmony dp. I'd be in heaven if someone sent me an album like that one! Just gorgeous!!
I am not giving this album away;) - I decided I wanted a small one to take along to my Mom's for her 75th birthday and I know she would love to see some pictures.
Here's my first page for this AWESOME Challenge! I knew as soon as I saw the sketch it would be perfect for the photo's I just picked up Thank you, thank you!
I also want to thank SJ for the great challenge SBDD02 - Doodle! I tried it, I'm hooked
Lela, I love how you used the sketch! And your doodling is very fun. Perfect for your "star"!
Thanks! I don't think I've ever scrapped these picts so soon after I got them (& I have 10 years worth), LOL! When I picked these up yesterday, I knew exactly what l/o they were going on....that was FUN!
