Default Need compact storage suggestions

I'm currently downsizing my home with plans to live in my motorhome full-time, hopefully soon. Any suggestions for compact storage of paper and supplies? Busy now removing rubber stamps from wooden blocks for storage in a notebook for use on acrylic blocks.

Any tried and true suggestions will be helpful. Even so, a lot of supplies will have to go into storage. Any ideas on grouping supplies by project?

Cargo weight is an issue in a motorhome, but gotta have my craft supplies (at least some).

Thanks.

There's no way I could manage in a motorhome - unless it was dedicated to my stamping/scrapping! ;)

However, if you are determined, then I would use smallish (rather than larger) containers to hold things ... they should pack away in nooks and crannies better. The TRUBs from Kieren Bellis Designs are useful for all sorts of stuff.

another thing that might help, sometimes I mix my own embossing powders but only do a small quantity. I use these really small, clear plastic jars (round, about 1" tall/1" diameter). This one has screw-on lids, mine have snap on lids. I purchased them at a teacher supply store (for paints) but they don't have them available anymore. They really are small and would be easy to store. You could have several different colors available and just refill from your storage shed.

And instead of buying little jars, if you have a Sephora near you, they use cosmetic sample jars with screw on lids, maybe they would sell you some. They have a couple of different sizes, so make sure you get the larger one, not the smaller one.

Also, save some of your SU stamp cases, they are great for storing these small items and then you can layer the stamp cases in a clear shoe box along with your basic tools and your heat tool. The stamp cases help to keep everything together. I've unmounted my stamp sets and am using the boxes to store my Twinkling H2O's by color family as well as decorating them and using them for office supply storage.

A great place to find small jars with lids is Penzey's Spices. They are fairly cheap and high quality. I am sorry I don't have the link but it is easy to find. Enjoy your downsizing. I have been downsizing over the last year and can't believe how freeing it has been!

Can you fit one of these in your mobile? http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.j...ODID=xprd74098
I fit all my tools in two of these stacked on top of each other in the corner of my dining room. If I were being minimalist I'm sure I could decrease it to one. Add one of those paper stacker boxes and you'd be set.

If you need smaller, I was amazed at how compactly this system stored my sewing items: http://www.crafttownhobbylandusa.com...prod=Craftstor It's modular so you could customize it for your supplies. I was looking for one for my mom's sewing stuff and read a review from a woman saying she fit all her rubber stamping supplies in one, so it's possible.

Sounds like you have an exciting adventure ahead! Have fun!
