I need to make thank you notes for people who are making donations to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society through my Light the Night web page. I just got a new stamp set, but am not sure where to start on this one since the baby whose team I am on passed away last night. http://www.scotthousehold.com/week_19.htm
I could use some thoughts to get my creative juices flowing. I'm not even sure what color to make the ribbon. The various sites I've checked have shown red, gold, orange and I think I even saw green somewhere. Any ideas?
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family and friends. She was a beautifu lil girl so sad she was such a sick lil thing!
I am not sure what stamp set you bought but I think I would make them very simple.
Maybe purchase some cards with envies and stamp some angels flowers etc in the background then mount the thank you on a matching piece of cardstock maybe even a small bow??

I am so sorry! My father has non-hodgkins lymphoma and has had a stem cell transplant to try to fight this terrible disease. You know, anything you do will be most appreciated. Anyway you could use an angel in the thank you notes?
Hi Veronica!
I am just stunned at the amazing web pages about Allie and her family.
She was so very sweet!
So sad for this to have happened to her parents.
Please know you have our prayers for the family and for yourself.
God Bless You!
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Michelle
I've been reading Allie's site for a long time and I'm just stunned. :(
I don't even know what to say! :( I have been praying for that little girl for a few months now and I hadn't checked in a few days. I'm so very very sorry for that family. She is a beautiful little girl.
It might be easier to type something up on the computer to say thanks and let people know the little girls passed away and tuck that into a card instead of trying to think of a card that "covers" both. The you can make a card that honors allie.
Maybe something like:
Your pledge to Team 12 South Angels on behalf of Allie Scott is greatly appreciated by her family and friends. Sadly, Allie will not personally benefit from your contribution as she passed away on Monday, September 13th. It is her family's wish that donations still be made in Allie's name to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society through the Light the Night Walk. Thank you for your support.
PJB - Do you mind if I use your words or something similar?
I bought the new SU "Hope Is..." stamp set for breast cancer. It includes a stamp that is a ribbon shaped like a heart. I see what I can come up with tonight.
I just did a search for awareness ribbons and it said that orange stood for leukemia and lime green was for lymphoma. Since this is for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, I would pick the color that corresponded to Allie's condition.
Best wishes. I know it is hard on all involved.

I used Only Orange for the ribbon stamp and Pink Passion for the card with a layer of Only Orange. I decided to use colors to celebrate the lives Baby Allie changed and the lives that will be saved by the research that these donations fund.
Veronica- the card is absolutely beautiful. And a wonderful way to honor Allie's life. I just read many of Jenny's entries and they touched me deeply. I am so sorry to hear of Allie's passing, may God Bless the Scott family and always keep Allie in our hearts.
This broke my heart. She was so sweet and so strong; I'd read some of the postings before but had lost my bookmark for their website; I'm glad you shared it with us. My boys caught me crying and wanted to see Allie's baby pictures.
Could I ask a question? There's a picture taken of Allie at Sears, before her diagnosis. Jenny said to take a good look at Allie's outfit, that it had something to do with the cancer. Is it because it was pink? I couldn't make out the design on it to be positive.
I just thought I'd ask. And I think you're card is wonderful, as bright and beautiful as Allie's smile.
