Hi everyone!
I am so excited to be a part of the Scrappin Diva Designers this week! I am a Californian living in Halifax NS right now. I began papercrafting a little over a year ago as a way to pass the time while I waited for the immigration process to kick in. Now I am completely addicted and it has become a huge and very loved part of my life.
I have always admired other people's scrapbook pages and the idea of preserving memory in such a creative and personal way, but this is actually the first layout I have ever made. Something about that 12x12 space scared me - it was so big and blank LOL. I decided to fill it up with some embellishments and it became so easy. I think I am hooked - so long generic vinyl albums!
In the layout I incorporated my embellishments into the flourish pattern of the paper. It makes for a neat look.
Suzy's Challenge:I challenge you to use those embellishments you have been hoarding on your layout in a creative and unique way! Grab those ribbons, buttons, primas, stickers and come play!
You can see my layout here with product details, and below in the attached images.
Have fun, and be sure when you upload your pics to label them as SBDD06_Suzy. I can't wait to see your layouts!
What an honor it is to be presenting a challenge to you alongside my divalicious DT friends from Embellish-It Online! Thanks so much for inviting us Jennie. You are totally rockin this challenge my friend and I am super proud of ya!
Ok, so most of you already know more than enough deets about little ole me. But I thought I would share just a teensy bit more. *grin*
I am a wife of one fabulous and understanding DH, Bunny. Let me tell ya my guy is very understanding of this diva and her late night scrappin habits. I always tell him, at least you know Im with my girls and my supplies and not somewhere naughty! I have two extremely active and awesome boys (8 & 14). I am a step-Mom of three and a proud GMa (aka: TiTi) to one precious little GBaby. Hello siestas-
My love of scrapbooking began many years ago (so it seems) with my first CM class. I of course loved the CM supplies but really yearned for more. I discovered my first LSS and learned so much from my friend who owned that shop. Eventually, scrapbooking lead me to CKC and my DH bought me my first set of SU! Stamps. This is when I began stepping away from my paper obsession and into a stampin/scrappin obsession. It was a hard transition at first but it soon became second nature to stamp on my pagesthus calling it scrampin.
For my challenge:
I did both stamping (& masking) and distressing on my pages. So that is what you are to do for my challengeUse stamping in some creative way on your page(s) and add a bit of the distressed look as well.
A little about me.......hmmmmm........My name is Kelly yep not Emmie, Emmie is my dog. I have been stamping and scrapbooking for three years now, I was introduced by a good friend of mine, my dealer as I like to call her......LOL! I love the ever changing world of stamping always something new coming up, never get time to be bored of it, a good thing for me! Growing up I didn't have an artistic bone in my body I am not a natural...........OK the cat's out of the bag *wink*
My family keeps me on my toes and stamping keeps my sanity!! I'm sure you all can relate. I am married to the most wonderful man who totally supports my sanity.....LOL! No, he will actually stamp with me, yep and he even has his own stamping blog.........he's truly a keeper.
My challenge is for you to make a page using a WINTER THEME WITHOUT using the COLOR BLUE!
It's really exciting to be a part of the Scrapbook Diva challenge this week. If any of you are familiar with my work you know that I'm mainly a cardmaker, but every once in a while I'll broaden my horizons and create a layout... and try to mentally picture it as a card ;) !!
I love 6x6 designer papers and use them all the time for my cards (Basic Grey is my favorite, but any 6x6 paper will do!) - you can even cut some larger paper into 6x6 squares - you just need to use 4 different sheets.
My challenge to you is to use 4 different sheets of 6x6 paper on your 12x12 layout.
My example is here... I used 4 sheets of paper from Basic Grey's Phoebe paper pack and laid them out all nice and square. You copy my layout or mix it up a bit... you just need to use 4 sheets of 6x6 paper.
Don't forget to put keyword SBDD06 on your project!
Thanks for playing and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
Hello! I'm Michelle Pearson and I'm addicted to paper! I've been a stamper for about 15 years, but am new to scrapbooking. I do, however *collect* scrapbooking papers and embellishments, so I'm all set to go!
I'm a SAHM to 2 sweet kids....so I'm thinking I'll be getting into scrapbooking to preserve all of those precious memories. Also can't wait to get going on some trip albums....I can relive my trips as I scrap!
My challenge is for you to use flourishes or chipboard on your layout.
Scrap an annual event ie: birthday, christmas, easter....in one dps. use more than 3 pictures for a single page 5 or more for a DPS. as a bonus use ribbon or do some paper piercing.
I have not scrapped in a while so I'm a bit rusty. (I think she did an awesome job! T~) My challenge is for you to scrap a page(s) using the monochromatic technique. You may also use rub ons on your layout for a bonus challenge.
 WHOOT WHOOT...I think I have all the ladies challenges posted now...Sorry for the delay...I so did not have it all organized. UGH that's what one gets when they are busy and running around like a crazy sista!
Suzy and Michelle thanks so much for posting your challenges!
Thank You Jennie for inviting us! This is so much fun!
I'm here....thanks Tracy for posting my challenge!
I was off to the dr's office *AGAIN*....2nd day in a row with my kids....Ugh! Finally home, now maybe I can get some play time in and check out everyone's challenges!
Hi Ladies!
I had a blast making my layout last night. I hope you liked the challenge. Can't wait to see all submissions.
Happy Holidays and Happy Stamping
Ana
Welcome Ana and Michelle!!
So glad you're with us for the Diva challenge!
Thanks for the jaw-dropping inspiration
I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm starting to hate you gals just a little bit who make such beautiful first-time scrapping pages!!
I've not had time to do the challenges lately, and have missed them! With all this inspiration, how can I not get caught up with my scrapping!! I hope to squeeze in some time this weekend! Thanks for all the great ideas...beautiful pages, divas!

Here are my takes on Flaxychick's layout challenge. I downsized it to work for my 6x6 album....but I want to revisit this layout when I work on a 12x12 page.
Here's my page for Tracy's challenge to stamp & distress. I'm not real proficient yet at distressing...it goes against my clean lines nature, LOL!
But I'm really learning to use stamps on my pages.
