Default watermark your photos

Can someone help me in putting the watermark on my photos. Where do I do this at on my pictures that I send online..I'm probably not making any sense. The name fainted out in the pictures when you show a card or a photo.

Thanks!
Bonnie

I bought mine from Beth Silaika. I'll post that and then check the link. http://freckledfundesigns.blogspot.com/

You need a photo editing program that has a watermark capability to do it. My photo program will only add opaque text.

If you have Microsoft Publisher there are excellent instructions here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Using either MS Publisher or MS Word, you could just create a text box and put your name in that. Position it anywhere/make it any size/font you like on the picture.

Here's a watermark tutorial using Photoshop Elements 4.0.
http://www.stampinkub.com/videotutorials/watermark.html

Here's how to make a watermark using Microsoft Publisher, I've never tried this before:
Insert your photo and drag it to the correct size, create text and modify it to be transparent, place it over the photo and do a "save as" .jpg file. Then open your .jpg file in any program that will allow you to crop around the photo and your done.

You can use GIMP, which is often referred to as the 'free' Photoshop, it contains most of the same features. It is completely free. You can download it here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/downl...or=superb-east

Or you can purchase watermarks. I bought all my watermarks from Dina (a SCS member), she is wonderful to work with. I have Paint Shop Pro X and it's so easy just to drop the png. image onto my cards.
http://digisigis.blogspot.com/

Hopefully these can get you started

Excellent tutorial! This will save me a lot of time. I created the brush in PSE 6 and then also loaded into PSE 5 as well. (I just can't let go of version 5.) LOL

Subscribing so i don't lose all this great info. We were just discussing this in the other thread I am on.
I just found a CD-Rom of mine with Adobe Photo on it. I am sure it is a diminished version, but it probably will have what you are talking about on it. I am installing it now!
thanks!

I use Picasa3 for all my uploads now too. Best thing is it adds the watermark for you automatically when you upload!!

Check my blog and you'll see all my photos have the simple watermark. Picasa3 changes its color to black or white watermark depending on the contrast of our photo. Very smart. Again, all automatic!!
