Most of my friends just wouldn't "get it" so I had to share this with y'all!
I got a call from someone who ordered cards from me. And I've got to tell you all about it! Sorry it's so long, the excitement is just spilling out of me!
So she calls we say hello and she says...
I called to tell you that I mailed out my Christmas cards today...pause...
... and I'm thinking, Oh heck! They charged her extra for postage and she wants a refund!!! I actually started sweating thinking she wasn't happy!
So she continues to say that she did not realize until she started writing and addressing them... she's pausing again and I'm freaking out thinking the adhesive didn't stick! Oh no! All my layers fell off!
And instead she says that she didn't realize how high quality they are! She went on and on about how gorgeous they are and that each was better than the one before it and she didn't want to send them out because she thought they were too pretty to give away! And she went on and on! I blushed! Couldn't believe it ... I didn't think they were THAt great... nothing like the beauties you see in the gallery... but she thought they were perfect and that made me feel so nice!
And can you believe she told me she didn't pay enough for them and wants to send me another check that will triple the price she paid! I'm not even kidding! I told her that she didn't need to, we agreed on the original price, but she insisted on sending more!
I don't even know what else to say.. Thanks for reading... I've got to go twirl around my backyard like a crazy person now... so happy!
That is very cool that your friend did that. By the way, I couldn't help but notice that you live in LJ..I used to live there a couple of years ago. What a small world
That's great that someone appreciates the work you put into something that you love. Keep on doing the happy dance and I'm sure more good things are on your way!!

Hey, thanks for all the congrats. I am catching my breath after doing my happy dance.
I didn't get pictures of the cards... I wanted to, but she came by and picked them up so fast I didn't have a chance! I used the Big on Christmas set with Dashing dp and Old Olive and Real Red cardstock. I have to say, I love that Dashing paper and I know it bumped my cards up a notch! I used the 5/8" Old Olive and the Real Red grosgrain and eyelets in the ornament on the Noel stamp.
Thanks for sharing my excitement, y'all!
What a great blessing for you, especially at this time of year! I'm especially happy that she took the time to call you and tell you how much she appreciated your hard work!

I agree; that was really nice of her to let you know how much she liked them and even more, to offer more money! Good for you!!!!

But, I don't have cule make them? How do I do it. How many note card and enevoples will a pause hold? And size do I make the pauses and size note card to make? And what about the sized of the enevoples? Can anyone help with this? I know way early for Mother's Day gifts. But I don't know what I am doing. And need to make 30 to 35 of them. So that why I started early.

Isn't twirling fun!!! And, yes, we "get it" and totally relate. What a wonderful person to recognize your effort and the value of your creativity! I'm sure she'll be back for more soon.
