I was just checking out the new Dirty Dozen Gift Gallery.
You ladies have really outdone yourselves with these fantastic gift ideas! I give you all a standing ovation!!!!
(insert yells, cheers, clapping and whistles here....)

I haven't donated yet and have debated on it. I guess you could say I'm sitting on the fence on this.
I think a portion from each section of the Dirty Dozen should be put out there somewhere for all to see, so us fence riders would be more inticed to donate. Maybe I'm wrong on this but I like to see what I'm buying before I buy it. I don't usually buy sight unseen!
Just my opinion!
Kim
If you look on the about Dirty Dozen page, you will see their names and you can check out their regular work.
"Subscribing" to the gallery is $20 for a year, but really it is a way to show support to this website and the people who make it work. It costs A LOT of money to keep this website up and running. The money that is earned from the $20 is not "profit" for the administrators, it just keeps this place running.

Britta & Kim,
Actually, you'll only see the stuff from the DD Galleries in the member galleries if you've been added to the Fan Club list. We've tested that theory ;)
Enjoy!
I'm excited.....I just "treated" myself to having access to the dirty dozen samples. I would have never considered it when I joined in July.....but after visiting the website daily and getting soooooo many great ideas, I decided not only would it be great to get more ideas...but it's also my way of helping the sight stay up and running (I can't imagine the hours it takes to run this website). It works out to be $1.66 per month......I spend much more on stamping and scrapbooking catalogs in a month, so I consider it money well spent.
I didn't mean anyone could see uploads from the DD Gallery-I just meant that you can get a feel for the type of work that they do-does that make sense? So while you will not get a free preview of the DD gallery-you do get a free look everyday at the talented artists that support this site.
Honestly there is no other site that *I* know of that provides so much for free, so of course supporting the site by giving $20 makes sense, and then on top of that you get to see a special themed gallery of hundreds of ideas that you can recreate, and if you have a question you can *ask* the people who made it and they will get back in touch with you??? Paying was a no brainer for me-I paid before the DD gallery came into play. But in my (not so humble) opinion, it is worth every cent!
I didn't mean to give the wrong impression-and in my head it made perfect sense! LOL

Ooooohhhhh, I think this months DD gallery is the best yet!!! There are soo many cute cute gift ideas. My theory is if you are coming to SCS daily then the $20 donation is well worth the investment. I look at it as basically the cost of a magazine subscription. Many of girls in the DD are published stampers and this is just a huge huge bonus to see their additional work. Plus, I'm helping to support my favorite website. Just think to yourself - what would I do if SCS wasn't here? (Well, besides get more stuff done around the house). Your donation is going to help maintain this site and Daven is NOT taking the $$$ to purchase a new boat.
I will say it again -- this months gallery is the best one yet!! Great work ladies!!
All the gift ideas are great-and a lot of new ideas I had never thought of at all-so I am off to Big Lots again since I saw something I can use there for 99cents that was used in the gallery for an adorable gift. Plus we will be sucking down the breath mints like fiends over here, and I will be offering a mint to everyone I know !!!LOL
thanks so much for the time, effort, and creativity you put into all the projects-loved them!!!

SCS is better than a magazine subscription because it's pure art. And if a technique is not listed, you can always request it. I'm letting all my mag subs go since I rarely use them (unless something catches my eye). This is waaaaay more economical and helps me to use the stamps I have. I agree that this month's DDD is the absolute best. I can't imagine them topping it, but I'm sure they will!

I agree this is the best one yet. So glad I'm a member of the DD Fan Club, the ideas are just awesome!! Believe me, the $20 is well worth it for those of you on the fence
What a great choice in MelMel this month, always loved her "out of the box stamping".
Yep - this month is (as Cami would say) the BOMB baby!!
You guys talked me into it. I just left PayPal!! I can not wait to check it out!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was tempted
All that 'talk' about the Dirty Dozen, and I joined too. Of course, before seeing this link I didn't even realize there was a special place for this gallery - and sight unseen, I think it's most likely worth the $20 based on the other gallery additions!
Absolutely beautiful work!!! Makes me want to get started on my Christmas gifts!! I agree - the best by far! Everyone is so talented. Melmel - congrats on being the guest DD this month. You are definitely a VERY talented stamper. I read your bio and you made mention of not being sure of gift items - let me just say...you don't have to worry. Your work is absolutely beautiful!!!
KUDOS to the DD crew!!!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your paypal processed so we can join the Fan Club? Also, does the DD post new stuff monthly? Once we become a part of the fan club, can we view prior months? Thanks for your help.
Brenda
Yes - you'll still be able to view prior months. The Tag & Clearly Creative galleries, current & future galleries will always be available for viewing. Wait'll you guys see what next month holds!
(There are still projects to be added to the current gallery, too!)
Thanks for supporting splitcoaststampers.com with your donations. It *does* make a difference!

The Dirty Dozen have quite extensive galleries here in the members gallery section of their own that are available FREE for the viewing, including myself!
That said, there are also vast numbers of exceedingly talented artisans who are not part of the DDD that also regularly contribute their designs FREELY for all to see and learn from.
Even tho I am a member of the DDD, I donated to support this site because there is no other resource as vast and comprehensive, especially pertaining to SU!, on the internet. And it's an expensive one to maintain.
The DDD Gallery was a way to help cover the costs of providing the entire SCS Galleries and forums to all. Originally Daven & Tracy were paying out of their own pockets to provide everyone who visited a FREE resource. When the system goes awry, it can cost upwards of $400 to get it "fixed" and running again. That's a hefty repair bill that none of the rest of us see or have to deal with...
Even if you don't subscribe to the DDD Gallery, you receive more ideas in a matter of days than you can receive in one issue of a magazine!!!!!!!! And all for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMHO, I would have contributed even before the conception of the The Fan Club/DDD Gallery because it is such a valuable resource; no magazine I pay for can compare to this site. I've seen enough throughout the FREE areas to be glad to donate to support the site. Totally worth well beyond $20!!!!!!!!!!

I was up too late and realized that I could probably see the DD Gallery! I was so excited to have something "new" to look at that early in the day! It's like a magazine subscription, but you don't have to wait for the mailman to bring it!
$20 a year is such a great bargain. Not only do you have exclusive access to the DD Gallery, but you are also supporting this wonderful site - which gives you pleanty of benefits for free! (your own gallery, message boards, resources, etc)
