Default An Alternative to Nugget Tins!

I couldn't find Nugget Tins and really wanted to make these cuties for gifts this year. Here is what I came up with:

Nugget Mason Jar by YouInkIt at Splitcoaststampers

Nugget Mason Jar by YouInkIt at Splitcoaststampers

Nugget Mason Jar by YouInkIt at Splitcoaststampers

These are pint sized and I fit 27 in there! I hope this helps you with your Holiday gifts!

What a great idea! And if you didn't want as many nuggets, you could always use a jelly jar which is a little smaller.

That's a great idea! I didn't even think of those! I'll have to see if I can find those near me!

I think they are just pint jars, you can buy them at walmart. They are usually by the kitchen stuff.

Great idea, I have some mason jars around and lots of nuggets I bought. I do have some of the tins that I bought months ago too. I just need to get working!

They are just plain Mason canning jars. Mine are pint sized, but you can get them in a variety of sizes. When I was growing up, grocery stores carried a lot of them, but here in MD, I think you can only find them in Michaels this time of year. Apparently, in MD, canning season is only in the summer! My Grandma used to can all year long, but I guess that only happens in Minnesota! hahaha

SO true. I was just thinking about maybe putting Hersheys Kisses in there with a tag that says "Merry Kissmas" (I think Amuse makes a stamp that says that, actually?). But, then I wouldn't get to use my beautiful Papertrey set to make labels! ;)

I bought some of the Christmas tins at Michael's for $1. They had some really cute snowman and reindeer designs. I fit 20 nuggets in each one and will give them as teacher gifts.

The nugget jars are just too cute! What a great idea while many of us wait impatiently for our tins.

Happy Stamping and Scrapping

Okay, so I played with these some more last night and came up with another way to decorate the jars:

Band-Front_by_YouInkIt by YouInkIt at Splitcoaststampers

Band-Top_by_YouInkIt by YouInkIt at Splitcoaststampers

I think this turned out much cuter! It's hard to tell in these pictures, but there is a rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake on the top and side band! Gotta have some bling, right? ;)

ooo, I think I may have seen those. Are those their $1 gift card tins? The ones up by the register? I never thought of those for nuggets! They really fit 20 in there? I'm going to have to go get some today!

Thank you! The first one just felt like it needing "something." Ya know? I was a lot happier with the second one too.

What a great idea! FYI--Big Lots also carries canning jars in pint and quart sizes at a very good price. I have purchased them there for the cookies/cappuccino/hot cocoa mixes, etc in a jar. Now I can use my extras for nuggets!

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing! I had to get mine at Michaels because I was pressed for time and couldn't look a whole lot of places. I got mine for $1 each. I know I could find them cheaper if I had had the time, but that's still not a bad price!
