Stamping/Craft items we've lost and never found
"goodlicorice" has lost her paper trimmer and can't find it anywhere!! I'm afraid she may go nuts, along with all the others who have lost things and still have not been able to find them. You wouldn't believe the things she found when she checked under her kids beds!! Anyhow, It is quite a funny thread. I thought i'd start one specifically to see what everyone has lost and never found OR the funny place where you eventually found them!!!

I lost my "Hope Is" set after an all night Relay for Life event. I called my sisters accused them of highjacking it, etc. I found it several weeks later on the shelf right where it should have been. Who would think to look there. I wonder who put it there?

For over a month now, I have "lost" a whole package of purely pomegranate paper! Where could it possibly be? I don't even use it that often, which is probably part of the problem. LOL!
I lost my wedding rings once....after a party at our house. 4 bags of garbage later, I found it wrapped up in a paper napkin!

I lost my 1/16" hole punch. I have no idea where it went and I've looked everywhere. After I bought a new one, I thought for sure the old one would turn up. DH says he thinks I accidentally knocked into the garbage while I was stamping. Who knows?

I lost a 24 (or was it 40?) set of Caran D'Ache watercolor pencils! I LOVED those things and if DH KNEW how MUCH I paid for them before losing the a month later, he'd TRULY kill me! I took them to a crop at the LSS and a week or so later when I went to use them, they were gone! I thought I had loaned them to a friend, but she doesn't have them! I've cleaned up MOST of my area and still haven't seen them, it'd be a Christmas miracle if they turned up!

I lost a spool of ribbon that matched one of my blue papers perfectly. The only thing I could think of was that perhaps I forgot it was in the bottom of a shopping bag and threw it away...When I went to go get more, it was sold out!!!

I lost a ruler. I loved that ruler. A friend bought it for me at a quilt store. The one that has the zero in the center and the numbers graduate from there on each side (I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know what it is).
Hey, if I knew it's name then maybe I could call for it!!!
Hugs,
Joani

Lost my Stampin Up scissors. Asked my DH if he used them (asked not accused). Ordered another pair and then found the first pair. I had placed them in the slot that holds my scrap pieces of paper and it had slid that I could not see it. Oh well, I can always use another pair of scissors. Now I put a cell phone flob on them so I can find them easier.

I lost my silent setter kit 6 months ago and haven't come across it yet. I've torn the place apart a half dozen times looking for it, so I've come to the conclusion that it must have gotten sucked down into the Oregon Vortex :(

I'm almost positive that I threw away a necklace that I bought from a gal at our small farmers market... can't find it anywhere... we stopped at a garage sale afterwards, and I think I put it in that bag... emptied the few things from the garage sale then threw out the bag... Haven't seen it since......
Stamping related??? Most recently was my SU! chalks. Early August, I held a sale for retired stuff, and thought I sold my original set. (with 24 colors I think??) I was sure I had purchased the "new" ones after they came out with the bigger set..... looked everywhere. Of couse, my stamping stuff is all scattered, didn't find it so I thought I never actually ordered them. Since I'm a demo, I just threw them on the next order I placed. I was looking for something else a couple of weeks ago - guess what I found! I know have 3 sets of chalks. I didn't sell my original set, plus 2 of the bigger ones.....oops.

I lost my fave ruler a LONG time ago and haven't found it. Then I lost the stapler!! How can you lose a full size stapler? My niece helped me look everywhere, she even crawled under the table and looked in the bins of yarn....

I bought new acrylic blocks at HL on sale when they came out with the ones with the grids on them - I bought every size - can NOT find any of them - thank goodness I didn't sell my old ones yet!
I have the CM cutting system which has the three blades and several templates (ovals circles etc). I use these all the time and they are always sitting out - the dog got ahold of the blue one and chewed it up so I ordered the new one and now I can't find any of them!!!
Every time I am crafting I will lose things temporarily but I usually find them! The two above I can't find for the life of me! Does this mean I have too much stuff?

It's called the Zero Hero I got mine at Hobby Lobby. It's made by C-Thru HTH
Most recently I lost my pseudo bone folder thingy I use. I tore apart my table looking for it. Then my friend called and said I left it at her house, so at least I know where it is.

Just recently I lost my two-way glue. Can't find it anywhere! I ordered I new one so I expect the old one will turn up somewhere.
I had misplaced a stamp set that I knew I had somewhere. I looked everywhere -- three times. My mom helped me look. My dad was sitting on the couch in my craft room, saw something underneath my milkcrate bin where I store my paper. The stamp set had slid underneath! I was so happy he saw that! Now I look there all the time when I misplace a set!

Within the last month only---
The *cushy* mat from the mat pack and the acryllic part with the holes. I love that thing and can't find it anywhere. I have the bag with the hard mat and the hole piercer but can't find the rest of it.
2 more hole piercing tools that have some kind of sticky stuff on the opposite end to help pick up beads, etc. I KNOW EXACTLY where I put both of them, but, alas, they are not there!!
A brand new jar of white embossing powder from SU. It was tied up in its own little bag when she delivered it. I *remember* clearly putting it in my stamp area still in the bag. Then I cleaned up and now it's gone!!! Don't know what happened. I probably put them somewhere *safe*

I lost my horizontal slot punch a few weeks ago. I have no idea where it could be, the last place I used it or when I last used it, but lately I want to use it for everything (of course, since I can't find it). I'll have to order a new one I think.

Last week I lost my perfect layers tool. The one with the 1/16 inch measure on it. Can't live with that baby! Went through garbage and everything trying to find it. Anyway had to pull my room apart so DH could put up my waist high stampin bench and what do I find along with lots of dust bunnies. The perfect layers tool, just before I went to order another.

There's also a craft one called a centering ruler. Just thought I'd mention that, maybe one is cheaper than the other....

I lost my Words of Wisdom set. Hadn't even inked it. I cut it beautifully, then took it to a crop. :( Never saw it again.....
The funniest lost & found I had was my flat 3/8" glue dots. Couldn't find them ANYWHERE!!! Then I was walking through the garage one day, and they were on my husband's workbench. He was using them to hold a wood template together for his bandsaw....

I lost Season's Sketches and looked everywhere (or so I thought), so I asked my two friends to whom I could have loaned the to if they had them. They both said no, and it was driving me crazy because I was sure that I remember loaning it to somebody. I went to look again, and found it right where it belongs! Since it comes in the biggest size box, it goes in a different cabinet, and I had forgotten that I had them there.
I also lost a little plastic envelope where I keep all of my good coupons. I have looked everywhere and even went back to some stores and asked if they had it in the lost and found, but no luck. I'm really upset because I had coupons for movie tickets for $6, a $10 one to DSW and a couple of $10 ones to Victoria's Secret!

I lose my Stampin Dimensionals all the time. Every time I go to use them I can't find them. I end up finding them a few days or weeks later when I'm not looking for them, but then when I need them they are gone!

I lost my Honey Bee scissors after a stamp night here at my house two months ago. I know they'll turn up as soon as I buy a replacement pair.
I lost my engagement ring once for two weeks. I finally found it stuck in the bottom fold of my Cropper Hopper vertical paper holder! Boy, was I relieved, but a bit embarrassed too. My dh claimed it was "proof" that papercrafting is a more expensive hobby than Jeeping!

I lost a bone folder of mine... it was one I let my customers use for a make & take at a workshop, and when I went to pack it up to take it home, it was gone. I actually think someone swiped it from me, either without knowing it or on purpose, but that always bugged me. I ended up ordering a replacement, because my life is not complete without owning at least 2 of those. lol

I, too, have lost a paper trimmer. :( I have also lost a bone folder. I'm still hoping for a miracle, especially for the trimmer, but it is starting to look grim.

My kids (40+) still groan when I tell them something is in a "safe" place. It happens when I clean up or organize. I am in the process of moving and my number one priority is to figure out how to RETRIEVE. I bought 2 different rack units from JoAnn's with 50% off coupons today. I am determined to at least get paper organized next week.
My dil and I looked everywhere for a "Merry Christmas" stamp we were using on almost everything. She went back to the new house to finish up some projects and discovered it firmly attached to the side of a stamp we had also been using continually. I am glad she couldn't find it either because I was very concerned about senior moments.
By the way, I have very high hopes for a bunch of "lost" items too numerous to mention. If they don't turn up in the process of this last move, I will be proved correct -- there are aliens out in space that invade homes searching for craft supplies. Its the only way to explain the vanishing acts.

A few months ago I went to the office supply store to buy a Rolodex for a swap I was in. I brought it home and set it aside knowing I had a couple months before the swaps were due. When I went to start my swaps, it was gone. I had set it someplace safe and out of the way.......so far out of the way it had disappeared! It drove me insane! I opened every drawer, every cabinet, cleaned out my closet. I looked all over the place and I could not find it. I finally went and bought a new one because I was now running out of time and it wasn't miraculously showing up.
About a day or 2 before the swaps were due, I went in my son's room to look for something else and opened a bag I saw under his desk and voila', there it was! He had taken the whole bag because I had some really strong magnet clips in there that looked like something he wanted to play with!

I could not for the life of me find the Gina K "Make A Wish" set I was sure I ordered! Finally broke down and reordered, figuring I must have thought to order it and changed my mind. After I received the new one, I found the one I was sure I had to begin with. I had actually even picked it up when looking for it. But....I had temprarily placed an unmounted background stamp I purchased in the case, so I could not see the "Make a wish" set under it. When I found it I was so  because I knew that I knew the background stamp did not come with a case! So when I picked it up looking for the "Make a wish" set, I should have known the BG stamp did not belong there. Anyway, if I am going to have 2 of the same sets, "Make a Wish" is a good choice :p

I've lost my Frosty set. I have no clue where it is. My dd claims she doesn't have it. I've "accused" my bf of borrowing it.....no one is fessing up. My stamping room is a LITTLE disorganized, but it looks like it would pop up sooner or later! I'm beginning to think I lost it at a crop.
I really wish I could find it, I want to use it!

Three years ago I lost my SU paper snips. I never took them anywhere. I believe but cannot prove it, but I think a longtime time friend who was visiting at the time either took them or threw them away. She and I had had a falling out. When she left I found all sorts of things in unusual places. Very sad situation and still puzzling.
