Welcome to the new week of the Scrapbook Diva Designer Challenge!!
Boy, do I have a Diva for you!
I don’t even remember where I first saw her work, but it’s been quite a while now that I have been a fan. She’s been published and won contests; she’s the Design Team Lead for the very hip manufacturer Tinkering Ink; she’s started an awesome challenge blog; and you can’t help but smile back at that big ol’ grin in her photo. Her positive attitude is downright contagious, and did I mention that her work is fabulous?
Please be prepared to be inspired by the very fun and talented {Emilie Ahern}!
I am so excited to have you here, Emilie. Thank you for joining us!
Here is a little bit from Emilie:
Hello! My name is Emilie Ahern. I am a 30 year old wife and mommy of two little red-haired girls (yes...there's TONS of drama at my house). I have been scrapping since 1997. I LOVE scrapping because I feel that it is not only an opportunity to express yourself and be creative, but is also a way to tell the true and genuine story of your life.
I adore scrapping with stamps. There are times in scrapbooking and card-making when nothing will really do except a stamp. One of the things I love about stamps is how economical they are. You buy it once and use it a million times! That is a big plus for a "shoe-string-student-loan" family like we are right now! LOL! I am afraid that frequenting this site might be dangerous because your sponsors have so many great stamps to choose from.
Here are my top picks: Gina K (Festive Labels), Papertrey Ink (Text Boxed), Lizzie Anne (Traditional Gothic & Celebration Frames), Stamping Bella (Reverse Polky Dots), My Favorite Things (Boho Blossoms), Crafty Secrets (Bird Notes & Sexy Numbers).
I have to admit, I am a bit intimidated to be asked to be a Guest Designer for SplitCoastStampers since your site is filled with so many amazing projects and inspirations. I hope to inspire and know I will BE inspired!
To participate in this week's Diva challenge, be sure to type in SBDD03 for the Keyword when you upload (that’s a zero in there, not the letter O). There will be a little something for one participant next Friday!
Stamping along a shape. For this example layout I first used a pencil and traced a very faint circle onto my page. Then I used white ink and stamped my images along the circle. I then erased the circle when the ink was completely dry. I just love this effect. You could stamp along any shape or curved line. Doing a complete circle would also be pretty cool!
You can find all submissions for this challenge here: SBDD03
The OPD (One Page Doc, aka: Master Challenge Thread) that includes all challenges on one page for your printing convenience can be found here: OPD
If you have any questions please feel free to contact any one of the SBCT (scrapbook challenge team)via pm or simply post your questions in this thread.
Thanks to everyone for joining in the challenge! Be sure to post a link here to your creation so that we can all ooh and ahhhh ;)
Don't know if I'm missing something, but do we need to go to Emilie's blog to get the challenge? I tried both links and I'm getting no pictures and only part of the text. Hope you can help me out 'cuz I'd love to see the challenge!

Until I can get this working, please check out the example layout under my username or search by the challenge number and you'll find it!

you will ................................................. in about 5 years, then you can scrap while you are waiting for them to get home!
Well I started this at lunch (that is becoming a habit) and finished up after the kids went to bed! It really came together fast. This was such a simple layout. I think I probably should have used a different background color, but oh well, another page enters the album!

Congratulations Emilie, what wonderful pages you have on your gallery and blog. It is such a joy just reading her blog, especially her after Christmas mail, she was so funny with that surprise letter. this gal is so very creative, love her work, especailly anything with circles and fourishes. Now, I would have to figure out my digital software to get some pictures off my camera first. So, it may take a while, but I have to try this challenge
