Default TLC19- Won't you join in the fun? :)

Please put TLC19 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread.

Today's challenge is Shaving Cream Backgrounds! Click on this link to see Beate's terrific tutorial:

Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

I chose this in honor of The Fourth of July, because the stripes and swirls with these backgrounds reminded me of the stripes on the American Flag.
Bonus points if you use red, white and blue in your card or just red and white for our Canadian friends.

Happy Fourth of July and Happy Canada Day!

Be safe today if you are around fireworks! Have fun!

This is a fun technique. When I haven't had the color re-inker that I wanted, I have used food coloring and it works well, too.

Great challenge for today!

Well, I went straight to work. I made a couple of samples, both fairly simple because the shaving cream paper doesn't need much embelishment. I love using this as the background paper when I make accordian scrapbooks (to put the pictures on!)

Thanks for this great opportunity! Now I have to get caught up on the other challenges (I joined yesterday)!

I love this technique, but I'm out of town so I'll just link to a couple in my gallery. I know it's cheating. Can't wait to get back to my stamps next week!

I loved playing with this! It was way too much fun! (kids thought so too as I let them play too, they especially loved how nice it smelt afterwards). This is mine and it is combined with this weeks card sketch challenge. Thanks for the inspiration!

Okay Beth I got mine done and I think I just might be shaving cream impaired. Out of the six I did this was the best one.
I asked my husband if he had cream or gel for shaving and he said I have both, why, what do you need it for. I wasnt going to tell him it was for cards, somehow I just didnt think hed understand and I didnt feel like explaining it. I managed to get it done and cleaned up just before he came up to my stamp room to talk. I dont think he even noticed the nice smell, so no explaining necessary!
It's my first attempt at this technique and heres THE CARD.

It doesn't always have to be a background:
Ice Cream Cone
Necktie

I've kind of gone crazy with shaving cream lately. I'm not going to post them all here. Check out the Shaving Cream gallery, my gallery, or type TLC19 in the search box in the gallery to see them all.

Finally, this card is coming to rest. I made this card the week this challenge was issued, but didn't know how to upload at the time. It took me 6 months to get up the gumption and gather the know-how to post. My gallery has grown quickly since then.

Heart HYCCT1112 TLC19 bluebirds of love

Love this technique, my friend Kathy just demonstrated it yesterday, so I did a card. My background is embossed with Cuttlebug's Floral Fantasy. I used Offrey ribbon in yellow gingham and blue stripes with green to accent the colors, and a DC corrugated heart with some distressed paper with a heart. I blanket stitched the green back onto my one sided card. My blue birds are very happy here

Here's my card:
