Happy Sunday people! I personally really appreciate all of the time and dedication it must obviously take to be a Dirty Girl....making sure your projects are completely up to snuff, perfect in every way, working with an assigned theme, pretty much just living up to the *image*! Here is our chance to show some appreciation to one of our Dirty Girls.
Duckwaddlequack (Angie) just recently posted a thread in the RAK forum and in the Need a Lift forum which has not received alot of attention. I am posting a link here.
Angie is requesting cards for her parents as most recently they received some bad and scary news about Angie's father. Going into the Christmas Season, their minds are focused on the uncertainty of it all.
Angie's goal is to get 100 cards in her parents mailbox. That is not very many considering how many there are of us! We have to make just one card and send it off to make her dream come true! Angie has to make several amazing and spectacular projects over the next 6 months to make our *dreams* come true. Let's help her out! I know we can do it....we are all really good at that!!
I just posted in the Need a Lift forum, but I'm gonna post here to bump it up. My card will be going out tomorrow - weather permitting me to go to the PO.
Poor Angie...hope she feels the love from this awesome community.
I will put a card in the mail tomorrow. Thanks Cindy for bringing this to our attention.

Sending mine out right now! My Dad underwent surgery for colon cancer 4 months ago. It's a VERY scary time. He is clear now, and hopefully will remain so.....as will your Dad! Thoughts and prayers are with you!
This is a wonderful thread and your responses are so kind. I never seem to know what is appropriate for these situations. Do you send a "thinking of you", "get well", "just a note" kind of card?
Please share an example of a card you would send for a Need a Lift request to someone you don't actually know. TIA.

Hi Catherine!
Honestly....I think all three of the cards you mentioned above would work. I think when you write a note inside letting them know that you are a stamping friend of Angies and that you just want them to know you are thinking of them and sending your best wishes.
Many times I will even send cards that don't have an sentiment on it at all and I just write a message on the inside. I know that you probably tend to think that the person you are sending it to is a stranger...someone you don't know (it's true!) ....but you do have a connection to Angie through Splitcoast and I am sure Angie has explained to her parents where the cards are coming from. Often times I sign them in this manner
