Does anyone here actually use stickers on their cards/scrapbook pages? Or do you just buy them?
I see hundreds of stickers when I got into any crafting store, and see that all the major patterned paper makers (basic grey etc.) sell cut-outs and stickers for use, but I feel like I never actually see these stickers in use in the galleries!
So do any of you use them? I feel like I'm missing something on the sticker front- I just don't get it. It's not that I actually need to spend more money, but I feel like I'm missing something!
Does anyone know where I can see examples where stickers are actually used??

Reason: forgot a word!
a lot of time you can't even tell that someone is using stickers...they aren't the same old Mrs. Grossman's of days gone by...they look more like a stamp or rubon these days...and actually if you look in the gallery for any of the projects done with the SU! Simply Scrappin' Kits....some of those use stickers since they are part of the kit...
wow- so not the image i keep having in my mind! cute card!!
even though i know it won't look like the bright 2-d stickers with the white outline of my youth, that is what i always imagine, which just doesn't jive with my style!
i also see so many stickers which are of items- like a wedding dress or an umbrella or something, but again, i feel like i never see these actually used on a scrapbook page in the galleries here.
i don't know any scrappers so I'm kind of in the dark on what pages usually look like in person, or what the norms are. i think i need to just find some hard-core scrappers to hang out with
How timely! Sharon (notimetostamp) just did a sticker challenge on her blog. the key word is ssnotime11 in the gallery to see all the examples of cards made with stickers. Here is the link:
When I use stickers, I tend to use the big ones, main image sized. I tend not to use the little ones, but they can be used for accents. I have a sheet of stars, and I use them as accents on my son's 2nd birthday scrapbook page. I guess I could use them on cards if the colors coordinated... hummm...
Several years ago I received a sheet of stickers at a crop as a giveaway and I used them to make cards for the troops. I thought they turned out cute and one sheet made a lot of cards!

I just check it out and its STUNNING!! I love that flower. You just inspired me to pull out some stickers..thanks
Thanks.
I admit that I do not pull out my stickers for cards as I would for scrapping. I almost feel like Im cheating if I use a sticker and not stamp.
But.....if you are having a low day when creativity just doesnt flow. Or if you dont have just the right image, a sticker can make you feel really great!
I tend to hoard stickers.
I did get into buying them big time when i first started scrapping, but they seem like a waste of money to me because of the one time use thing. so,
I tend to use my stamps and hoard my stickers.
I use stickers, stamps, diecuts, found objects, whatever...on my cards and my scrapbook pages. I don't discriminate between supplies. It is all paper crafting to me.
The best thing about stickers is their vibrant color or their 3d dimension (on the dimensional ones) - it would take a lot of coloring and cutting to get some of those effects with a stamp.

My sister turned me into a sticker addict way before the phrase "acid free" was ever used to market stickers. I've broken the habit now but still have a whole bunch of stickers to figure out how to use. I find it easier to use them on a scrapbook page than a card, myself, but I have done stickered cards. Sorry for so many examples, but maybe someone will find one of these helpful.
I use stickers far more on cards than on layouts. I do use 7 Gypsies stickers on layouts a lot.
I actually went through my stash and gathered up items I'd only use on cards. They are in a separate container. It makes it easier. If it's too cutesy or cheesy for a layout, it might be perrect for a card.
OK. I am convinced. I was too cheap to think about one-time-use stickers. Unfortunately, I feel a new addiction coming on me -- can you catch them like a cold? All the examples just made me itch to play with them. I am so glad Michael's often puts stickers at half price. Maybe I can slide into it without a great deal of outlay.
yeah, i can definitely see how stickers can fit into my scrapping. the key is to realize that scrapping stickers aren't stickers like the dentist gives, but are more often just CS embellishments that happen to be sticky on the back....
Recently was at a church fund raiser and they had simple $1.00 cards for sale that were designer paper and cute stickers added. When stickers are on sale at the stores, I may watch and do this also, as there are some really
cute divine character stickers.

I have lots of stickers too from when I first began my paper craft hobbies. Now I mainly use them to make monthly calenders for the refridgerator and my daughter uses them too.
