The stamps do stain, but so do a lot of other clear stamps. I think they are better than some of the other companies out there with the quality of the stamped image. I've bought from her three times. So, I'm a happy customer!
I have many times and always fast service, quality stamps, and great prices! I like that their stamp sets keep up with the trends. New sets are added each month and there is a free stamp of the month set when you spend $50. Their website is www.cdstamps.com and they do have an Ebay store as well.
I have several of their sets...and they have some more that I plan on buying soon! I think their prices are MORE than reasonable. I do wish the packaging were better (they are on clear sheets inside ziplock type baggies). But all in all, great service, great prices, and cute designs. I'm sure I have some samples in my gallery and I know I have some on my blog if you want to check them out.
I've purchased from them. One of the stamps in an alphabet tore a few months after I bought it (it was the first time I was using it) - they sent me a new letter with no issues.
The stamps are just as good of quality as others out there. I do agree that I wish the images were printed on the acetate they stick on rather than just a separate sheet of paper.

I've been buying stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps since 2005. The quality of the stamps is good and you couldn't ask for better customer service. Shipping is quick too. Lots of other items sold on the site besides stamps. The cardstock is very good quality.
I just bought a couple of sets and some round coasters. Satisfied customer here.
Just make an index sheet of the images and put in a CD. That doesn't bother me...at least I'm not buying wood like I do from SU! and then throw it away.
I bought a MSE alpha set from MSE when they still sold online. I had several letters that were stuck (molded) together and ripped when I peeled them off. They sent me another set. Manufactures aren't anymore perfect than the rest of us.

What is the stamp quality and customer service like? Thanks!
Thanks for the input, ladies! I do appreciate it. After recent discussions, though, I'm no longer interested. Everyone is free to make their own decisions, of course. Have a great day!
That sounds very disappointing from your reply. I look for service and quality and make up my own mind.
No designer is in a bubble. I sincerely doubt many stamp designers have an "original" design.
I like clear dollar stamps b/c they're cheaper...
In spite of what some ppl think...SU! didn't invent stamping (and accessories)...they take a product that has been throughly marketed w/ tons of $$$ in R&D and mfg costs, order it in black, add SU! and charge more for it.

Bummer Niki,
I really think you should give the company a chance. She has excellent customer service and her stamps are an excellent quality. I am extremely happy with the order I placed with them. It's really too bad that some discussion on this board are so one-sided. because you are really missing out.
I made my first purchase last week from them. Still waiting on my order. What is the typical shipping time. I figured it would be quick for me since I am only one state over. I hope nothing went wrong in the ordering process. I am new to paypal so things got a little mixed up but fixed, I thought, in the end. I am anxiously waiting to play with the set I purchased.

Sorry, NikiE, but I can't help but think that's just pathetic.
:(
It would be one thing to make a decision based on bad customer service.
That's really too bad to know that some people make purchasing opinions/decisions based on other peoples recent discussions, rather than their own personal experiences.

LOL, must have overlooked a post in here somewhere...when did SU come in to the discussion?
I just ordered a set and some calendars to use as Christmas gifts. She (Lori) emailed me back pretty quickly to let me know the stamp set is on BO but will be arriving on Wednesday and did I want her to ship the calendars first or hold the order. That's pretty good customer service! I told her I can wait the two extra days.
Sorry, NikiE, but I can't help but think that's just pathetic.
I really wanted to reply the same way that you did and the person above you but I was afraid of resurrecting the controversy again. In some way I really think Nikie's post was plant, that there is some sort of ulterior motive. Honestly, base your buying decision on what you like and how you are treated.
Deciding you don't like a company because of PERCEIVED likeness in stamp designs is so elementary school. Like if you are my friend than you can't be friends with the new girl. (Well I guess I just raised the controversy again.)

I just got an email from her like this too and it wasn't a form email either! That, to me, is awesome. Can't wait to get my new stamps to play with! I would've never heard of Lori's store if it wasn't for "recent discussion" ;)

I just wanted to point out the NikiE started this thread 3 weeks ago, long before all the controversy. The thread had been dead for 2 weeks until tx stamper(a CDS design team member, I believe) posted her comment yesterday. I don't know NikiE, but since she never even posted in the controversy thread, I doubt she had ulterior motives. I think she originally just wanted to hear everyone's experiences. She has since made up her mind, which she is entitled to do. I personally think she can use whatever criteria she chooses to decide where to spend her money.

Reason: spelling mistake
I know I am defeating the purpose for my comment by posting this and keeping the thread a live , but I am tired of the negative defensive remarks. This is my promise to myself to not read another thread on this discussion or to add to it. May be others will bury this very tired topic too.

To clear this up, I had never heard of clear dollar stamps when I posted this 3weeks ago. (And I am basing my decision upon what I like.) I formed my own opinion when I saw the stamps before the posts started here. Please look at the post dates of this thread and the other one before you go accusing someone of planting a post. And as for being pathetic, I would never say someone is pathetic for having an opinion. Following for the sake of following is pathetic. I have my own opinions and I am entitled to them. Never once did I say that others shouldn't buy from clear dollar. Do whatever you want and I will too.
Let me start by saying that I ordered from CDS on Thanksgiving Day. The order shipped the next day, and I had my package on Monday. I'm not super happy with one of the sets, and I've emailed Lori. She responded immediately, and assured me that she would look into the issue. I'm extremely happy with the customer service and the other sets I ordered.
Now, Niki did, in fact, start this thread several weeks ago, so it doesn't appear that this is a planted thread.
Niki, your response, however, about your decision to not purchase from CDS initially claimed that "after recent discussions" you chose not to purchase from CDS. Therefore, people drew the conclusion that you were swayed in your decision based upon what others posted here rather than based upon product quality, customer service, etc. I can understand that conclusion. And I'm glad that you clarified that the stamps were just not to your liking.
In either case, Niki, you are correct. You can make decisions that are best for you regardless of the reasons. As you stated, we are all free to make our own choices.
I'm not so sure that anyone meant YOU specifically were pathetic (that word can have a negative connotation) but maybe that it was just ... sad maybe, that one would choose to base her opinion on a company upon what others claimed.
In any case, I think most posters were just lamenting that the situation was sad not you in particular.
I'm sorry if you got your feelings hurt. I don't think that was anyone's intention.
Happy Stamping, Everyone!
C

Michelle,
Give Lori a call or drop her an email and see what's up. She won't mind. She is never too busy to take care of a customer. If you are unable to get in touch with her as fast as you would like (and for me, that usually means yesterday ;) ), PM me. I have a present for her girls so I'll be seeing her on Monday, and I would be happy to follow up for you.
