I got my expectations too high for my surprise box based on what others had said they received. It kind of feels like I got the short end of the stick and that the retail value of my particular box wasn't as high as the estimates I heard about.
I was hoping to get from three to five inkpads in some yummy colour names, and I only got two inkpads. I was REALLY hoping to get a travel mug and I didn't get one. I was looking forward to the cool tool, but it turned out to be a (higher quality, better packaged) duplicate of a tool I already own -- it's nice to get the better version of the tool, but I was looking forward to something that was either totally new to me, or maybe some Coluzzle templates I don't have. I was interested in getting a variety of different embellishments, which I did kind of except for the THREE packages of photo turn/photo anchor things which I never understood and never had a desire to use personally, and the SIX packages of ribbon, TWO of which were red combo packs. I have a billion meters of ribbon already, and the colour I have the most of is red. I don't need any more ribbon, especially red!
I did get many other things in my box that were neat, but the "wow!" just wasn't there for me. I hate to feel so negatively about my box. I *am* chuffed about the stamp sets that came in the same order, though! And I did have fun anxiously waiting for my box, and I started jumping up and down and yelling when DH brought the box in the house.
