Default Need ideas for co-worker gifts

If i were to get gifts for most of my co-workers I would need to make 30 gifts. I'm trying to figure out something little I can make for everyone. I was going to make the Frap bottles, but I don't have enough of them and I know I won't drink that many to make them.

A couple people I asked said that they pick and choose who they give gifts to. I would like to have somthing for everyone, but it needs to be little. I don't really talk to quite a few of them.

There are about 10 people that I want to make something for, but I don't know what to make. I've thought about stamping on candles and possibly making coasters also.
Can I give a stamped candle and just 2 coasters or should it be a set of 4? Also, do a candle and coaster go together? I'm at a loss of what to make. I don't see anyone outside of work, but we all know each other well.

Also, what can I make for men? There ae 4 of them and I don't think a candle is the way to go. Mney is tight,, so I don't want to spend a lot.

Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
jen

I am making calendars in the magnetic clear frames to give to my co-workers - I figure EVERY one has a refrigerator!

I was going to suggest a calendar as well. I saw a template for a "Pop-up" calendar that is really cool and you could stamp on it a little. Depending on how much time you have, you could make them simple or fancy. I'll try to find the template and post.

I bought the coffee type bags from papertrey. I was going to make some sort of treat to go in there. I have to stamp a label. No one else does anything but I really enjoy it! There are a few people who I will give something else to. I made a coaster hang-up sign for one friend. Another one is getting a funny mug and some lottery tickets.

How about a 2-4-6-8 box or bagalope filled with Hershey Kisses?

Everyone loves chocolate!

I made some 2-4-6-8 boxes for people at work and put 3-4 Lindor Truffles in them. I bought a bag of 50 at Costco and they are SO rich and SO sinful and delicious that just a few go a long way. It's also a gift that is appropriate for both women and men--each box can be different.

Default My 2 cents

I recently made some candles...fairly quick & inexpensive (Dollar Tree candles)
Wrap them in some cellophane with ribbon & tag-they look great. What about a post it note holder the paper kind or acrylic type with RSVP pen that just has dp rolled in it. You can find the pen on the tutorial with the acrylic post it holder. Maybe for the men more masculine colors.

HTH a little!

Normally hubby picks up stuff from the dollar tree and I just dress them up. It is cheap and better then not giving them anything at all.

This year I've been buying stuff from big lots and dollar tree. There were boxes of turtles at big lots for 1.50 so we bought 4 of them I'm sure I can break that down for enough people.

When I used to work I always made treat bags. Either the clear bags or the white lunch bags stamped on. I used to work in a body shop where it was all men and I did not get to foo-foo. But they actually looked forward to each holiday (I made something for all holidays, Valentines ~ St. Patricks, etc...). Some of the guys actually saved the bags for their wives...

Treat bags always go over well.

An alternative to the 4 coasters that is quick, inexpensive and easy is trivets. Just pick up a 6 by 6 or 8 by 8 coaster and stamp on it the same way you would coasters. We just made 20 of these for the helpers of my moms group and they turned out nice and didn't take super long to make. Who doesn't use trivets when they cook?

I made the little nugget holders that hold two nuggets each. I had to make 20 and it took about 2 hours I guess. So that might be an idea for you! They are just so cute when finished too!

I normally bring in bake goods, cookies and treats for everyone. Then also make a baglope and put in snowman soup.

This year I've been making the magnetic tear-off calendars and small ball ornaments with rolled up paper in them.

Tile coasters are a great idea! For the men, use a set like Sporting Goods to make them more masculine. If you want, just make one instead of a set of four, that way they can use it on their desk at work. Another idea is to make bookmarks, which were so quick, easy and fun. I made 50 over the weekend for a craft fair. Lots of people read, just an idea! Here's the link:

I gave stamped coasters to coworkers a couple of years ago. I placed one coaster in a cello bag and added a pack of hot chocolate and a few nice looking tea bags, tied it up with a pretty bow and added a stamped tag. They were a big hit. Sorry, I didn't take any picturess!

Another year I gave ornaments - I stamped 2" ceramic tiles, added ribbon loops and covered the back of the tile with felt. I needed something small and easy since I had about 60 coworkers. I put them all in a basket and placed it in the lounge with a note attached to please take one and have a Happy Holiday. Everyone seemed to really like them!

Default office gifts

How about a group gift - something that the entire office can share instead of making individual gifts, especially since you don't know all of them well - maybe a box of nuggets or cookies and those that you are close to you could give an individual gift?

I got the pocket calendars from Target (big lots has them too) for a $1 each. I will remove the cover and personalize them. I work at a school, so am doing school colors with mascot name and little fiber and brads for bling. My DH was impressed with them.

Hi I just started a new job a few weeks ago and don't know anybody very well yet. I plan on making a chipboard coaster pencil/pen holder for the front desk. The one they have needs some serious help. Also every year I make something little and make alot of them. For about 24 people. Last year I made flat glass ordiments and this year I'm making chipboard monagramed keychains. Here's one. Keyring_Gift_by_TERRORE3 by TERRORE3 at Splitcoaststampers. I could easily make some more for the others that work there. good luck !!

I have made Santa candy bar wrappers for people I work with. (They are a decorated 5 ounce candy bar - Hershey) Around me they go on sale for $1 each. I have pictures of some in my gallery.

awesome idea.

also how about candles that are holiday stamped??
since so many one page calanders that have the whole year on it and will fit into an acrylic 5 x 7 frame where you stamp one item on the side of it

dollar store vase then some suckers and make stamps to go on both sides of the suckers and stick in the vase

I am making nugget boxes from a templete that I found here on site. Also I have made magnets (using 2 inch tumbled tiles from Lowe's) that I have stamped on. I also made coasters and card sets. Good luck!

I'm planning on making a bunch more of these mini composition books:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

... only using "Dashing" DP this time. I'll just change the sentiment. They're inexpensive but folks seem to love them! So far my friends got the fall ones but I didn't give any to my co-workers so this should work out great!

I can get 4 mini books from one piece of DP (by dividing #9and #10 from the first grid in half to make the piece for the spine).

I have done nugget boxes for people at work as well. Treat bags of any kind are a great idea. Something that is quick, inexpensive and very easy to do is a sour cream container out of Designer Series Paper - toss some candy inside, add a little ribbon and pop on a tag or a layered punched accent and you are good to go.

Good luck!

I'm just curious what you decided on. I'm starting to feel the time crunch, which is a GOOD thing, because if it weren't for the last minute, I'd never get anything done :-}
