There are a few items I still want but would like to put off purchasing until next year when I don't have Christmas expenses. I hope the list is very very small!
I still want
Tres Chic and Well Worn Words backgrounds just for starters....
How about you? What do you think you'll get if they retire?

I want the Bundle of Joy/Bundled in Love sets for eventual use - I think they're adorable. I don't need them now but if they are on the retirement list then I'll want them.
I also want the Write Me A Memory cd, and Wonderful Words are on my list too.

there are tons of stamp sets that i would like to have... but.... christmas is here and need the extra cash for that. i liked how they did it before when the list came out in june.
The only one I HAVE to have if it retires is the floral lace BG (can't recall the name offhand...). I want it to go with Buggies and Booties (my all-time favorite baby set, now retired).
well, I have a long list so I will only list a few:
Jolliest Time of Year
Snowfall
Voila'
Moose You
Dilly Dally Wheels
So Much
All in the Family
Wanted
Bronc Buster
Big Flowers
Garden Whimsy
Fabulous Flowers
I think the list will be small, at least compared to last June's. Some of the sets listed are brand new this catalog so I hope they don't retire (Tres Chic--haven't used mine yet). I'm getting excited to see the list though!
I am hoping the list will be smallish too! I have most of the hostess sets and have not even had a chance to mount several - and now they will be gone...but of course I am eager to use the 2 new sets we already have......
what is a girl to do???
I still have 10 sets on my wish list I have not yet gotten, but most were new to this catalog, so I am hoping they are all still 'safe'
It's funny that you asked this, because I was just thinking about this the other day and made a list for myself! And, I realized that I still want ... um ... ALOT! hahahaha Anyway, If they retire, I would buy:
Maybe:
Thankful Season
Hung Up on the Holidays
Everything Baby
Just Football
Just Baseball
Wildlife Reserve
Tres Chic
Short and Sweet
Season by Season
Absolutely Fabulous
Jumbo Outline Alphabet
... and this isn't even including non-stamp items (paper, scrappin' kits, etc!). I have a feeling that I know where all my Christmas money will be going!

I can't bear to think about a new retiring list yet! Wonder if I don't look at it if I'll know I've missed something later or just be on to the next most wonderful stamp sets? It's torture when the list comes out & now to have to go through it twice a year? Too sad!

I Store More Stamps - do you?
I might get sanded. I've had my eye on it since July and keep putting it off. I really hope it doesn't go. I'm saving for sellabration.
What is Sellabration? I am new to the stamping world and only have been doing it since July.....and of course anything with the word sell can't be too bad
Well, I believe it's been changed to Sale-a-bration for this year, but regardless, it's a time when with a certain amount of product purchased you can choose a free set from a special group of sets that are available only during Sale-a-bration. There is no limit to the free sets you can earn, so if the amount necessary to earn a set is $50 like past years, and you buy $150 worth of product (shipping/tax charges don't count), you can choose 3 of the sets. HTH
as much as I love the sets in the F/W catty, I would be just as thrilled if just about everything I have left retired and I could start fresh with new stuff! Most of my sets retired this summer and I finally sold all of them off so I have a stash ready for the new catty. Some of my current sets I suppose I could try and trade but really, who is going to trade me a brand spankin' new catty set for the few older sets I have left? no one! My new approach is going to be to just own a couple (SMALL number) of sets that I absolutely love and use all the time instead of tons of sets that get used once then put away.
Of course, I am in a cleaning purging mood right now, we'll see if I still feel that way in January when I want EVERYTHING! ;)
I think I'm safe but I would buy Baroque Motifs and Garden Whimsy if they are on the list but they are both so popular I can't imagine that happening. I don't think I have anything else but I'll know more when I see the list. Haven't been cover to cover through the catalog in months so who knows what'll I'll find when I look again.

I too like the Baroque Motifs....On my list is deffinetley priceless. I am thining about that one a lot so if it on the list it is going to be my very own x-mas present to myself (well that and the cuttlebug I bought myself this weekend)
My wishlist:
Home is Where the Haunt is
Snowflake Spot
Festive Favorites
Snowfall
Solemn Stillness
Close as a Memory
Everything Baby
Wanted
Bronc Buster
Silly Sealife
Flannel Plaid
Sanded
All Holidays
Glad Tidings
Friendship Flowers
Fundamental Phrases
I guess it will narrow itself down on DEC 1st~ Can't wait!!

This may sound crazy but...There is nothing that I would get. I have been humming and hawing about It's Snow Time since it came out and I finally got it with my party earnings. I figured if I didn't get it at my party it would end up on the retired list and I would have to buy it then.

I too wish that they would do one retiring list a year. The catalog has only been out for 6 months and for the average person it's just not enough time. Just because they have 2 catalogs a year doesn't mean they have to retire twice a year. CTMH does 3 catalogs a year and everything is available in those catalogs whether it is Spring, Summer, or Fall until DEC 31st of each year.
There are paper sets from there spring catalog that I still would like to have and I can purchase them until Dec 31st if I decide I can't live without them. I think this would be the better way for SU to go. Just my 2 cents.
Do you know if the Dormant List will come out on the 1st together with the retired list? I can't remember how they did it in July. That will help me decide what I "need". Right now I want Tres Chic, Genuine Articles and All in a Row and I am trying to decide if I need more Christmas words - Many Merry Messages.

I noticed that many of you have flannel plaid on your lists. I just got this and absolutely love it. It will be on all my Christmas cards this year. (yes, I've only got five done:rolleyes: ) I strongly recommend getting this stamp.
My must have list is
Loads of Love and accessories
Happy Camper
Paisley background
Primary colors scrappin kit
Winter bright scrappin kit

Believe it or not, I have yet to buy Lovely as a Tree. That is my #1 choice to buy just in case it goes (although I can't imagine!!) and All Through the Year as well!!! Those will be the 2 I purchase before the catelog changes -- just in case!!

I've had Lovely as a Tree probably since it first came out and I have to say that it is probably my fave set. It is so versatile! Definitely get it if you can. You won't be disappointed!

I gotta say I'm always amazed at how effective SU is at keeping this stuff under wraps. I'm a former consultant for another direct sales company and they couldn't keep stuff like this secret to save their souls! LOL Tapping my toe waiting for Saturday morning!

I also want the Write Me A Memory cd, and Wonderful Words are on my list too.
The bundled sets are probably not going, they had a sneak peek of a new baby set that they said would go well with those 2, so I think they are staying.
There will be a lot from the F/W that will be dormant, so I dont think it will be as awful as we are thinking.
I would be SHOCKED if Tres Chic, Baroque Motifs or Garden Whimsey were retired, they are new and popular.
But......Im am soooooooooo ready for a new catalog BURSTING with fresh stuff! I am LOVING this 2 catalogs a year! Plus all those new hostess sets!
I doubt if Sanded will be on the list, as it's just new. I have it and I LOVE it! Flannel Plaid is another favorite of mine, but it's only a year or so old, so I think that is probably safe. Lovely as a Tree is iffy - I thought it might go in the FW catty and be replaced with Trees Three, but I was (thankfully) wrong. If you haven't got Lovely as a Tree, be sure to get it - you can't go wrong with it! My kids tell me I have made so many cards with it they want something new! Peaceful Wishes might go on the dormant list, as it is more or less a Christmas/holiday stamp. This is also a very versatile stamp, and my kids will be pleased that I used this one for my Christmas cards this year. Next year I may go back to the trees.......
