what do your christmas cards look like this year
I have more than a few sets of christmas stamps. But I never know which set to use since I have so many of them. What stamp set are you using for your cards this year. Pictures if you made any yet.

Lisa, I just have to comment on your siggy! I bought Baroque Motifs because of what I saw on this site!
As for my Christmas cards, I think the name of the set I'm using is Holiday Woodcuts. Each image has a matching jumbo wheel.

Some angel cards with Holy Triptych, some snow cards with jumbo snowflake wheel (glittery) and some trees with Solemn Stillness. Nothing terribly unique in colors or designs this year as my muse must be striking with the writers.

Rejoice...
I always make cards that depict the first Christmas. Bought the set "A Child Is Born" from a friend and made about 50 like this... Christmas 2007.
FlyGirlStamper had posted a similar card last year and I pretty much just copied her idea.

Nobody shoot me - but my Christmas cards are from Wal-Mart this year. There's just been too much craziness in our family's lives these past couple months, and I decided that sending handmade cards just wasn't important this year. But I *am* planning to send out nice Valentine's Day cards to close family ... and am planning to have my '08 cards made by the end of the summer so that this doesn't happen again!!

Boy, do I understand this!! My family/friends cards are going to be picture cards (we didn't even get "formal pics" done this year... we always do at Christmas!!). My other cards (church members) will be Wal-mart. I am planning on doing a few homemade cards, but not many!

I also have very many Christmas stamps. I decided this year instead of only utilizing one or two stamps from my collection, that I would make a different card for everyone and use all of my Christmas stamps.
You can check my blog if you would like to see what I have accomplished so far. :0)

This is my first year for making all my Christmas cards-- I usually send boxed cards from my favorite Christian bookstore. I'm using the SU City of David set. I'm planning to post pics of the cards-in-progress on my blog later tonight.

I'm using Peaceful Wishes this year. I'll send out Merry & Bright cards to the granddaughters. The last two years I used Lovely as a Tree. Next year it will be either City of David or one of the Dickens-type stamps in the present catalog. Haven't decided yet.

I decided on a criss-cross card this year, so I can tuck a family picture in with my note. Here it is-- it uses Season of Joy.

Kudos to all of you who are on the ball and know what you are doing! I am not one of those....I don't like to make the same card over and over so every challenge I participate in I make a Christmas card. But I still need more.

Don't feel badly. I hear you, sistah. Last year I was so sick,my cards were half-made, I was in tears, so I ended up going to Ritz camera and getting a photo card to send out at the last minute. First time I've ever sent a photo card! Hopefully, this year will be better....I am going to try and salvage last year's cards, but my stamping style and abilities have totally changed!

Mine look like the kind that were on sale after CHristmas last year! hehe. Photo cards. IF I run out of those, a letter on christmas paper, about 6 will be hand made cards.

Great cards! I am using the gingerbread wheel and riveting. I am pretty happy with the design. My camera is on the fritz so I cant take a picture. I just finished last night!

I am using flaky friends for my cards for family and friends this year but I recently finished over 300 cards to send to the troops and I used a variety of older stamps I had Just generic type of designs. Now I am so tired of making cards that I could scream. Next year if I make cards for the troops I am doing them in the summer (yea, right!)

Hahaha...Christmas cards..right! Last year they didn't go out and this year isn't looking much better! Where does the time go? The buying thing might work well, you could add a smidge of glitter with a quickie glue pen and it could be semi-handmade!

I've gotta' get mine up loaded. I've gone every month since August and made 12 cards with my SU' demo. I also bought a stamp set (or so) and made more. So far I have made 120 cards, but the dogs ate 2. I don't even know 120 people! I don't know what I'll do with the extras.

I just finished mine this weekend, using Sleigh Full of Toys for the majority (50! ) of them -- I wanted something a little fun this year. You can see it here:
2007 Christmas Cards by WordTrix at Splitcoaststampers
Like Quiltnstamper I also made a couple hundred Christmas cards for the troops and used a variety of stamps for those, a few samples of which are posted in my gallery.

Oh, you are not alone, I am heading toward that same decision. I may just make a few stamped cards for special friends and family, the rest will get storebought. Sometimes you have to cut yourself a break!!! This year I want to stamp when I want to, not when I feel like I have to.

For the past 6 weeks or so I have been trying to have every challenge card I made be a Christmas card so that I wouldn't be caught in December with 60 cards to make. For the first time ever, each card is different. My granddaughter helped me pick which one goes where while she was here for Thanksgiving. I now need just 6 more and plan to be finished before December arrives at the end of the week!
Off to made today's colors: Basic Gray, Soft Sky, and Certainly Celery into a Christmas card! Then I'll only need 5 more!!

Mine are actually a mixture of cards...some from Walmart from maybe 2 yrs ago and the others are cards that Hallmark put on their after Christmas sale...they have cows on them...I collect little cow figurines...I made every attempt to make them this year...and hubby didn't care for any of the ones I made...I wanted to make it easy and simple(one card design) so that I could just do the assembly line thing.,...didn't work out..maybe next year...hummmmm

Actually, I'm making cards for a craft sale on Saturday - our family cards will be the leftovers - and if there are no leftovers, then I'll be frantically making cards on Monday/Tuesday using my SAS designs!

Mine are a pile of cardstock, some stamps, ink and embellies. Yup, haven't started them yet. I think I have to go the photo card route this year. Fortunately, my girls are adorable, so people won't mind getting non-handmade cards.

I'm supposed to actually make and send cards? I can't do that, it would require actually "using" my stash ;)

I am doing a variety of designs but I am not sending out too many this year, since December is almost here already.
Here they are -
Sparkles and Ice
One layer for Christmas
Ornaments
Christmas garland
Thanks for asking, your question may serve to get me in gear to getting them done!

I don't have much for Christmas stamps so I got creative and used my alpha stamps to stamp out 'Noel'...then I added some snowflakes and made a spinner in the 'o'. So this is what I think I'm sending out...
Embossed/spinner Noel by Les' Girl at Splitcoaststampers
We often do a family picture at Christmas - and then I usually just get it printed into a card at Costco - so then I only do handmade cards for a smaller number of people who are very close to us. I always do a Christmas letter for family and friends that we don't see often...and I just do that in word and print it on decorated paper because there's too many to individualilze and still get in the mail in time. Speaking of which...I better get working on this year's letter!!
