Default British/French/German demos check in please!

We've had a roll call for British SCSers, how about one for European demos? I know we don't all have access to the demo side yet so let's post here!

I'll go first: I'm Helen and in Derbyshire. I signed up last week but don't have my kit yet. Getting very impatient!

Can't wait to find out where the rest of you are located - and how many European demos we have on SCS so far!

Hi I am Sam, and I am based in Cheshire, UK. At the moment as it's early days, you may find that there isn't a demo in your area, however this isn't a problem, you can still place orders which can be posted to you. Feel free to ask any questions of us :-D

Hello all!

I am in west London. My kit should be here by the end of this week. I had accidently signed and sent in the right to cancel sheet - aparently we are not supposed to do that! It held up the shipping of my kit.

Bagpus, I suggest you check on that. I didn't know until the 22nd (sent in my papers on the 9th) about my mistake!

Although, if you call demo support, they will give you your demo number so you can log into the SU demo site and the SCS demo forums.

Thanks but I was warned about that when I phoned SU to query something else. Apparently quite a few people have done it. I have my number and have accessed demo sides of both here and SU - all I need is the kit (oh, and some customers!).

Wow, there seem to be many new Demos in the UK. But where are the French and German? Surely I can't be the only German Demo here in the forum!

I'm Ramona, I live right in the middle of Germany. I've been stamping for over 10 years now. I also teach scrapbooking classes here in Germany. Now I can't wait to use all those great SU products, too.

You're the first I've spotted! And I've not spotted any French demos at all yet. Maybe it's the language barrier? Although we in England have always been told that our foreign language skills are woefully inadquate compared to those in France and Germany, where "everyone" speaks English!

A tiny little town in the North east of Scotland that no-one has ever heard of except those of us who lived there! It's between Dundee and Aberdeen.

Hello!

Elaine in Glasgow, Scotland... and it's freezing here! Very cold the last few days, in fact. I've got the central heating on "auto".

I've got my demo kit and I've received my first order. That's about as far as I've got so far. I'm really pleased with my new scallop punch and the Cheers to You stamp set!

I'm in Peterborough- not too far from you, about 30 - 40minutes, so if you're ever having a demo at the weekend let me know and I'll see if I can make it over there. I decided not to become a demo as I don't know anyone to sell it all to really.

Hi. There's a Cheers to You sample in my gallery, which I posted a few days ago...

I'll try to insert a link (no guarantees it'll work, but here goes):-

Cheers to You (UK) by moostamper at Splitcoaststampers

I haven't had time to make any more, unfortunately!!

Hi - I'm from West London too - are you in Hillingdon Karin? as the "Man from Frankfurt" said last week that there was another demo "near me" - I'm in Hayes ;) Said man also said that there had not been such a big take up from the rest of Europe :(

I got my kit last week and spent a very relaxing Sunday having a play and reading the demo manual but it was a bit like hard work after a busy week at the paid employ so I am giving it a rest for a while :-D

I think they should have targeted the netherlands as one of their European demos, they are very into crafting there.
Loads of scrapbook & papercraft shops there, they are very advanced in their papercrafting style as well..

Since Iam in the european section & looks like there a few of you on can you answer one of my questions please. I have a customer asking the diameter of the scallop punch?
Why does the catalogue not give the size its silly.
So if anyone could answer that would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Sorry, I meant to answer this earlier: it's 4.5cm. And you can layer it with either or both of the two largest circle punches.

Hi! I'm Debbie and I live near Truro in Cornwall - so quite central really.
I got my kit in good time, thankfully! I really feel for all of you who haven't received yours yet.
I phoned DSUK today and was told that there are 60 demos in the UK and 15 in Germany, but only 3 in France.
I've been busy preparing over the last few days, as my first workshop is tomorrow

If you have the catalogue, you can measure it, because it is all shown at 100%. the large tag is 3.5x4cm, the smaller one is3x3.6cm.

I just think stamping is bigger in the UK than Germany or France - I am suprised at Germany though.

I am not sure how well other home party plans do in those countries - never really looked into it - not sure if its their culture in terms of it isn't something they do kind of thing. - home parties that is

Thanks Ramona - I looked to see if it was 100% or not and couldn't see anything hence asking. I have been trying to match up existing kit to see if I can use things in samples. Don't have to take the "wrong" kit to shows but could use to cut shapes and things to make cards more interesting

I believe not only the punches are shown at actual size, but all the stamps area as well, with the exception of the background stamps although the bubble shows the pattern at actual size as well, the rest is just to give you an idea of what it looks like.

It is really wonderful for planning cards and deciding what sets to get and go with others - and a dream for the alphabets!

I dont think Hayes is all that far from Ealing - but I am the first to admit that my UK geography is really bad, although in my defence, I have only lived here for just under 2 years, and we are only now getting our UK drivers licence and have purchased a car, so I will learn where things are a bit better now

We should get together some time.
