who got sucked into the Elzybells courtesy of the past/present Dirty Dozen challenge? (Okay, sucked in sounds harsh, perhaps fell head-over-heels in love with these adorable images?)
Normally I can look and be tempted. But, if I resist purchase right off the bat, I'm good. Not with these! I actually woke up thinking about all of the cute samples I have seen with them. Ugh--talk about addiction!

CareBear's link was for the UK version of Elzybell's - they're bigger. A Muse is selling them in the US and they're smaller - the ones the DD were using were the smaller ones found here:
I have held strong and have not ordered any. It is hard looking at all the blogs where every 2nd card is made with this stamp set. First, I think they are darn cute. But after looking at one seems like 50+ cards, I think it might be working in my favor. I am actually getting tired of them...just because they are everywhere. Don't get me wrong. They are super cute. But it is overkill for me right now and has helped me in not buying them!
Same thing happened to me with the Hanna stamps. Super cute. Love them. But overkill, because of all the stampers using them. So, again, I've been able to hold off on ordering. This seems to be the only way I can curb my addiction. Seeing so many Hannah cards is like hearing the same song on the radio over and over. I will probably order after everyone else is onto something else (including Elzybells). Just might have to wait a looong time.
Did you notice what happened with the Bellas? While they are still going strong, you don't see as many cards. They are probably getting diluted with the glut of stamps on the market. Now that is bad for me, cause now I want to go back and start buying more Bellas. SIGH.
Please tell more about the challenge= I missed it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one of the dirty girls posed a challenge to past and present dirty girls to use the same Elzybells stamp and some pink, without using designer paper, to make a card. Here is the SCS link to where they can be found.
AAcKKkkkkk! You guys are killing my wallet! Had not been to the U.K. Elzybells site before. There are way too many "must haves" there. What am I going to do???? Especially love the sheep in the spring 2007 catalog. (I all ready have a U.S. Elzybells wishlist a mile long.....)

You're just so cute!
Sucked in, fallen head-over-heels, obsessed, smitten, addicted . . . Your post made me smile . . . yup! *chuckle*
It's just plain fun when a line grabs ya' like that.
Have fun with your new Elzytoys--I mean, Elzybells! ;)

Oh, you mean a line like (taken from your blog):
"Omitting, as a stamping technique, has been around for eons, and means: inking only certain parts of an image, as opposed to the entire image. But, apparently, it's being given a new name: "faux masking" . . .
x10
I guess I just don't understand the purpose of giving something that's been around forever in art-stamping a new name . . . So . . . I ain't gonna do it. Nuh uuuh, can't make me! That's right: Julie refuses! (hair flip!)"
I was laughing over this for days!
Oh, and I think I like calling them Elzytoys...something my husband might even relate to ;)
I am waiting on my 2nd order right now. LOL I thought I had all the stamps I wanted from the winter and holiday collections and then got sucked in by other stamper's cards in their galleries and on their blogs. LOL EEK!
Thankfully, there aren't any more I need (I think), so I guess I'll be waiting for the next release to suck me in. LOL

No...you are not the only one. I don't even need a stamp that features a cute girl (I have two young boys) but I needed the Winter Song stamp after the dirty girls got a hold of it. I also ordered the igloo and the juggling penguin. I need to stay away from the galleries of the dirty girls. Sigh.....

Actually, when I said "line" in response to this thread, I meant "product/stamp line".
There are catch phrases/lines I love, too--"Shut up!" is one of my faves . . . ;)
But, "Faux" masking ??? . . . all I could think when I read that one was, "You have GOT to be kidding me!" I mean, seriously!!!

There does seem to be a lot more UK stamps than on the other link. ??
I think my wish list is around 600 now ... ie., $1200 !!
A Muse is the exclusive North American distributor of the Elzybells line; they are releasing only select images seasonally from the collection; the North American release images are reduced in size to accommodate A Muse's paper products, and to make them more affordable, this side of the Pond. ;)

Okay, I feel like a bit of an idiot for misunderstanding your original statement (picture a little blushing face, cuz I don't know how to make one).
The good news is, either way you read it, you're right! I'm just hoping I can show enough fortitude to wait until their next release before I re-order!

Aaaah thanks for clearing that up Julie ... looks like I might be ordering your side of the pond rather than mine !!!!
