Default Dove Blender Pen

Does anyone have one of these? How are you liking it? Is it the same as the SU blender pen?

I bought one, but am not sure how to best use it.

I have one, but in my opinion it does not work as well as the SU ones I've tried at workshops, they have nicer points.

Default dove blender

I have both and like them both. I got the SU ones because I was tired of having to clean my tips off when using multiple colors on a project. I like them both, but if I had to pick one, I'd say that I like the results with the dove blender better. It gives me a better finished look. The dove has replaceable tips and you can replenish the fluid. I don't think you can do either with the SU ones.

I use the blenders with my ink pads by squeezing the top down on the pad and then using the color that was deposited. The other way that I use mine, and I do this more often because I don't have to did through my pads to find the right color, is to scribble the color marker that I need on top of my black ink pad case and pick up the color from there. The reason that I use it is because the top is white and I can see where the color is and the pad stays on my desk, always handy. Play around and have fun!

I like the dove better, too. It's cheaper and it's refillable.

I like the dove, cuz you can change the tips. I seem to smash up tips or something... My SU! pen is all raggedy. I have used the dove refill to refill it, but the tips don't fit.

I'm with Anne. I'm pretty heavy handed and have mutilated many an SU blender. I love that I can replace the tips of the Dove and refill it.

LOVE my DOVE blender pen! I've literally had the same one since 2000, I think! I've changed the tips, and refilled it... I've used it with water color pencils, ink pads and my SU! markers by coloring with them on a glass plate or plastic bag and then picking up the color with my pen. You can see examples of me using this for all of my bella cards posted on my gallery.
I LOVE IT!

It isn't - it is thicker and stickier and is not an OMS

I have both as well - SU and Dove. When I want something "wetter" the Dove blender is ideal. I'm also a refill kind of gal and love that about it. I have heard of making your own refills, but I can't remember the exact proportions or ingredients. I do know that there is glycerine in it though and that is what gives it that "slippery" feeling.
