Last April I was diagnosed with endometerial cancer Stage 3 A. I had a total hysterectomy on May 1st, and then began a long haul of 6 rounds of chemo on May 31st...
Due to lots of wierd complications (staph infection to my I-PORT which I lost; chemo diabetics; extremely low potassium levels; several blood transfusions; 2 hospitalizations; oodles of Nuelasta and Procrit shots and getting a PICC Line inserted in my right arm) my chemo did not end at the time we thought it would in early September. Instead it lasted until October 19th.
On Friday, November 9th I was given a PET SCAN. I saw the oncologist yesterday (yes, still processing here) and got the following report:
Per Dr. Burnett, "IT LOOKS VERY GOOD! THERE IS NO SIGN OF CANCER ANYWHERE." I am not to see the oncologist again until March for a 4 month checkup! And as a bonus piece of good news my dang PICC line was finally removed from the bend of my right arm (had it since June 19th"
Can I say I am doing the real happy dance! What a Thanksgiving blessing to be had for me!
God has really blessed you, Arlene! What wonderful news! God still works miracles every day, I know because he has blessed my family with two huge ones that were thought to be hopeless, not to mention all the other miracles that he has performed for us each and every day.
You are proof that every day is Thanksgiving Day. I can't even imagine what you've been through. I'm sure that God has given you the strength to endure it all.
May God bless you today and always, Sandi

Congratulations to you!! My mom had stage 4 cancer and after 12 hours of surgery and 38 days of radiation, she has been cancer free since May 2000. Such a miracle for both of you!!
Here I am just ready to SHOUT IT from the mountaintop!
