Sometimes I feel badly that my simple cards don't get very many comments on SCS. But who needs comments when you have a sweet Brother-In- Law.
In an email from my sis, she wrote, "Keith says you should start a little card shop in Lynden. He thought that cards, books and classes would be a good start."
That's so sweet! (and you should start a shop in Lynden cause then I can come check it out whenever I visit my mom! ;) )
All the way from Iowa? I suppose you have Dutch ancestry like mine? We moved from Hospers, Iowa to Lynden when I was only 4 years old. That was about ???? years ago.
Well... since I am old (see post above) and retired I'm not starting up a new business. But you could come to my house and stamp with me. I now have s..p..a..c..e to move in my craft room. Bought five used hotel desks at Salvation Army store and lined them up in a row. Last Sunday, 5 friends came over after church and we all made cards together. Let's see... we also laughed a lot, drank coffee, nibbled on snacks and cookies...
I'll talk to you one of these days and maybe we can get together. I'm heading south (as far as Olympia, if you can call that south) for Thanksgiving.

yeppers! I'll be there over Christmas/New Years (that's plenty of time to start a business, right? ;) ) I grew up in Lynden but my parents immigrated from the Netherlands in the late 60's. (gotta love Dutch Bingo!)
Location: needs some retail therapy....now just to decide what to buy!

Hey - I want to come too!! I grew up in Lynden (well Everson but close enough) and went to LCS. I'll come stamp next time I'm home visiting my parents.
How very sweet. My cards don't get a lot of comments either, but when people see them in real life, they seem to like them. Of course, you don't have to open a physical store, but you can have an e-store!
