I was at my LSS this last weekend and she is selling the little packs of Studio G stamps for 1.00. THere are a few different ones and I bought 3 of them but I am going to go back this weekend and buy the rest of them. I really love them and they are perfect for making my X-mas tags. She has alot in stock right now and she told me that Michaels will n ot be selling them so customers will havet o come to her shop for them.I could not believe that they were only $1.00 a set. They are adorable!!
I know our Mikes does not have any Christmas stamps yet. I asked on Sunday and they said not until whenever they receive it on the holiday truck. I looked at Jaonnes her and our store does not have these Studio G stamps. The other Christmas stamping stuff is out however. Maybe they will be getiing them in later?
maybe I'm misunderstanding but some Mikes do have the Christmas stamps already in the stores. Am I missing something?
My Mikes has the regular stamp section Christmas stamps out (on the endcap) but the $1 bins where the OP stamps would be still have the Halloween/Fall stamps plus a bunch of the birthday, thinking of you, etc. stamps they've had out for awhile. My Mikes is usually way behind in getting the $1 stamps out, but they're always in a separate section from all the other stamps.
I saw some of these stamps at my AC Moore last week, but I decided to pass on them since I still haven't used all of the other ones that I bought. They weren't in the normal spot though. They were hanging by the Christmas stamps. Normally they're in baskets around the registers. Make sure you check near your stamps.
I found the sets at Joann's last week. They are cute. Lots of variety. I felt like a kid in a candy store...usually I am not lucky enough to get first picks of anything, but the bin was full and I believe all the sets were there. My Joann's is typically one that does not have the cool stuff, so in the larger markets you should be able to easily find them.
I was at the local teeny Jo-Ann store here on Saturday, and they had gotten them in a while ago and by the time I got there, there were only a bunch of acrylic blocks, one wedding stamp set, and one Hanukkah set.
I found all 24 sets. I got 20 sets at my LSS for $1 a LONG time ago, but I was missing 4 sets..so I went searching. FOUND all 24 sets at Joann's last weekend. They were right by the registers, bottom shelf...totally hidden. I had given up when I found them. My big Joann ETC didn't have them....most likely sold out, but the smaller Joanns had tons.
For people who have been having trouble getting a good image..I have found that Pallette Hybrid Ink makes these stamp great. You can buy it from Papertrey. Just an FYI.
The Joann's had some a couple weeks ago for only 50 cents!!! I grabbed up a bunch, but there wasn't a lot left when I got there. I've been in several times since, and they haven't restocked since. I haven't seen any of the Christmas ones yet either...:(
I bought 8 sets at my Joann's a few weeks ago. And, can you believe it? I saw the Studio G stamps at a stamp show this past week, selling at a booth for $4.99! I just shook my head and walked away. You really do need to know your prices at these shows. You can get ripped off very easily.
All I know is that I keep trying to find them at any craft store and teh bins are empty - yet I check ebay and guess what I find ALL over, selling for at least twice the cost.... Not that I'm against people making a profit, but geez ...
