I deliver to my customers unless they live WAY far away (I have a couple customers who live over an hour away from me....) and for them, I usually do a customer direct order so it goes straight to them. Are you having trouble?

I didn't know that a customer could get them direct. I'm an hour away from my demo, it's a real pain.
I have two demos now, one lives 10 miles away and the other 25 miles away and they both deliver them to me! I do pick up mine on occasion from the demo who lives 10 miles away, that's because she lives really close to Costco, though and I never mind swinging by to pick up my order then. It is always my choice, though! They are both so terrific!

One party has to be shipped to one location... either the demo or the hostess. At least with SU!. Sometime in the future I hope that they have the option to do direct orders within a party, but as for now, it is not an option.

So It would have to be my party to be shipped to me. Then I'd have to deliver everyones stuff to them.
Hummmmmm guess I'll just go pick mine up, easier in the long run.
No. If the items you are purchasing are part of a larger order, everything hast to be delivered to one address. Many demos will also combine multiple orders if it is not for a party at someone's house to get the hostess benefits. If you live an hour away, I would request that your demo ship your stuff after she receives it or drop it off to you. If I were not a demo and I lived an hour away from the person I was buying from, I would request it be shipped to me. Although, keep in mind that means it will take longer for you to get your goods.
Thanks for the infor girls. My Demo won't deliver, I live in the country and she is the closest one. I was thinking of being my own Demo, but, since learning that they haven't drop the prices for us Canadians, guess I'll be driving to get my goodies.
My demo doesn't deliver but I think she'd be willing if asked. She lives close enough it's not a problem. Now I've gone to a party just recently and the hostess is having a hard time with getting my wheel to me because I won't go completely out of my way to get it and she won't budge out of her home or routine. So I'm having an issue with that.

you can order as little as $2.50 worth of product and have it sent directly to your door.
if it's part of a party, it's got to go either to the hostess or to the demo.
i have on occasion mailed portion of a hostess order to out of town guests.
before the recent shipping jumps i used to send this complimentary. now i offer to pay half of the costs to get it to them. a lot of stuff can go in a flat rate box.

When I was a customer, I used to pick up my stuff because I was too impatient to wait for her to drop it off, lol! I wanted my stuff the moment Mr. Brown dropped it at her house! She did on occasion drop off stuff if she was in the area.
I'm a demo and I do a variety. I deliver to someone's home or take to a customer's workplace. If I know I'll be seeing someone at church or when we pick kiddos up from school, then we'll arrange to do it there. Occasionally someone wants to come pick it up. One customer picks it up from my church (in a different town) during the week after my DH takes it there and drops it off with the secretary. Some are direct shipments. It just all depends...
Ask your demo, and see what she'll do for ya! ;-)

My wonderful demo usually delivers them to me at work. She and I live fairly close, but we both drive 30ish minutes to work for the same school district. So, she drops by my school and delivers to me!! (: She's wonderful...
I have the greatest demo. She cuts and mounts them and delivers them to my house. And does not charge us shipping! (10% discount--which counts for no shipping)
I think it all depends on who your demo is. I know I try to deliver them as much as possible but sometimes, depending on distance, I may ship them directly to the hostess. We do just try to keep everyone happy and get those stamps to you as quickly as possible!

My demo has the stuff from my party shipped directly to me. I, too, live 60 miles away so if I had to go pick the stuff up and then also deliver to my guests, it would be a real pain. By having the stuff shipped directly to me, I am in charge of checking each item on the packing slip and matching the item to the buyer. It does take a fair amount of time to do because my parties are large, but I've never had a problem doing it.
By having the stuff shipped directly to me, I have the order in 4 days and I can get the items delivered to my guests within a week of the party. This makes my guests VERY happy, they like coming to my party because of the good service and they spend more $. It's a win/win for both you and the demo. Give it a try, you'll like it!!!
I just ordered from a new demo that was close to me, just some blocks
and got her name off the site, and she never offered to deliver it but is having it shipped to my house, I delivered my payment. I'm paying for a new catalog and I contacted her, she is getting credit for my order, and she is just entering my order online, pretty good way to make a profit. This discourages me, why can't we place our own order to the online site.

I deliver to my customers, unless they choose to pick it up. I do have my former upline who helps deliver some for me, too. I sure wouldn't make my customers come to my house to pick up their orders! If I can't make the deliveries, I pay to have it shipped from my house to theirs via USPS. As others have said, orders for parties are delivered directly to the hostess for her to deliver.
It depends with my demo. I just ordered stuff yesterday and she said she was going to have it sent to my house. With another order, she had it sent to her. She was concerned about seriously bent corners on cardstock (which had happened in the last order she had placed) and she ordered something for herself and tacked it into my order.

You do realize that SU demos are running a business, right? That would create a necessity to earn a profit. Otherwise what would be the point of being a demo and running a "business"? It is a home-based business and that is why you cannot purchase directly from the company. It is how SU chose to run their business. As for not hand delivering. Perhaps she has a very large customer base and does not have time to hand deliver to every single customer.
My wonderful Demo & I have it all worked out....we meet in the middle of the road for a "drop off"! She lives about 30 miles from me so we call each other and decide when to leave and then we drive until we meet up on an old 2 lane highway! We have joked about her being my dealer & rubber is my drug of choice! One time we were parked off the road and she handed me a bag just as a cop drove by and slooooooowed WAAAAAY down to take a look. We laughed and laughed over that! If he had stopped and asked, I would've had to admit that I was looking for a "fix". ha ha
But in those times that we can't meet, she drops them in the mail to me. She's such a wonderful Demo and has become an even better friend.
when i am a hostess they are all shipped to my house.
but my constant ordering thru the rest of the year are delivered to her and i pick them up. i never even thought to ask her to deliver them.
As an FYI ... If you are ordering without attending a party ... you can certainly request that your order be shipped directly to your home address. She should be more than willing to respect this request, under any circumstances. With the current gas prices, this is the most efficient means for all involved. ;)
