at Office depot!!! I got the top and bottom laminated then spiral bound with white spiral and it was only $4.97 plus tax!!! what a deal and it is great because now I can fold it back on itself and hold the page or whatever else. I highly recommend this!!!
I just recently had my 04/05 catty spiral bound (dunno why I waited so long) at Kinko's. I took a regular pocket folder, cut it down the middle and had them bind it with the catalog so I could put my mini supplements and wishlists in the pockets. Very convenient!!!

I love having mine bound! I wish I had done the pocket! I'm thinking of monoadhesiving a pocket onto the inside of the laminated cover Maybe I'd need crystal effects since it is plasticky, but whatever, that concept of thing...
I just love it. This is the first one that I have done this too. It makes it much easier to look through and I believe it will make them last longer as customers ( if i do this to all of them ) sometimes will pull the binding apart to see what is by the binding or to hold their place. And it is totally worth $5 to me, even if i just do my own as I go through it so many times.

I just got mine done at staples (actually got them done as a thank you to all my hostesses from this year...got their names on them and everything). I got 10 of them done for $26 b/c they had a $10 off coupon. They turned out wonderful! I love being able to lay them down and have them be flat on the table!

I did this too today at Office Depot! Mine was soooo slow. I had the cover laminated also and rubicoiled with black. It turned out great except she put the covers on offset at top and bottom so I had to take it apart and liine it up right. It took forever. Then I also had them cut some jr. legal pads in half lengthwise, and they didn't do it right. I had brought my own that I purchased from Viking, so they had to replace them and finally got them done correctly. It took an hour for the whole thing. The good thing was it only cost me $3.36 for the catalog binding and they didn't charge me for cutting the pads since they screwed up and it took so long. the catty looks GREAT!

Yep, just tell them you want the binding cut off. But make sure you tell them you want only enough cut off to just barely remove the glue or else your order #s and prices on some pages will be cut off. At Staples they cut off less than 1/2 an inch. And then they punch the holes & bind it. The best advice I got on here about how to get your catty bound is to make sure a)the person doing it is familiar with removing the binding & the whole process & b)ask for EXACTLY what you want. Stress that it's important not to have it cut off too far. I even went as far as to tell the girl at Staples that the 10 catalogs she had were worth $100 and I could not afford to have them messed up. I does work out very nicely when you're working and want to view a page in the catty while you're stampin'!
We've been doing that too. The book stays open when it is spiral bound. We also get it done at Office Depot. I thought it was just a couple dollars for the spiral (we don't get the covers laminated). It's wonderful. I would recommend it highly!
I did this with the 04-05 catty and it was WONDERFUL!! I plan to do this again this year. I've even combined a few card idea books together and spiral bound them into a large book. That way when I'm lifting a card or layout, I can lay the book flat out in front of me.
Why doesn't SU just make the catalog spiral bound????

Because then the catty's would cost us more than the $10. There are some that just dont' want it done too!! I would rather spiral it on my own, but wish they would leave more room at the binding end for those of us that like to have it done!!

Where did you have it done and where did you get a coupon?? I would love to have more than just mine done at one time.
I have had mine spiral bound for years! I also have it done for 6 of my regular stampers. It went up this year. I am sure I only paid 2-3 dollars in the past. this time its over 4.

Last year I went to Office Max about the time the new catty came out. I wanted to do my entire catty collection. The man told me that they had been doing a lot of them lately...probably because the new catty was just released......soooo if you don't want a long wait...put off this errand for a month or two and you might get faster service after the initial rush dies down. From what I've heard....lots of people are having this done and some demos bring in boxes of them for binding.

Several posters have mentioned that they've gotten the cover laminated. In the past, when I've gone to Kinkos, they've just used a heavy plastic sheet in front of the cover and at the back. This protects the book covers, and probably costs less than the laminating. You could probably even take your own sheets (like the poster with the pockets), and maybe it would be even cheaper?

I got it done at Staples, and the very helpful copy lady cut the coupon out of the flyer...I didn't even know they were running a special. I was just in the flyer (they had a stack of them at the front of the store). It's $10 off a $20 copycenter purchase. My past hostesses LOVED theirs (I delivered them last night). Try asking at your local Staples, I imagine they all run pretty much the same specials.
I have gotten my catty's laminated and spiral bound for the last 3 years, and I love it! My demo now takes everyones to get done that wants it, hence I haven't seen my new one yet. Oh well.
Oh, I just had my catalog sprial bound and it looks good. There is one little problem. I told the lady to trim it close to the glue binding. She chopped the catty were the fold line is next to the binding about a 1/2 inch. A lot of the numbers and images are cut from the sprial holes. It's a shame b/c I didn't notice until I got home. I was a total of $5.22 including tax for her to destroy my new catalog. It was at Office Depot. I read all these Threads and I told the printing clerk not too close. If anyone goes to get this done. It might help to take just the cover off of the catalog yourself and ask them to trim very close to the glue. Oh, I added a folder to the inside of the front and back cover so I have pockets now inside my catty for insidentals! That was a great idea that I read above. Best of luck to whoever gets this done.

I was wondering if you guys had every page laminated, or just the cover?
