Default Thoughts on new catalogue???

Personally, the new catalogue doesn't WOW me and some of my stampin' friends.....there are some sets that I would like and some that I can do with out. They have changed their scrapbook selection :( and the tatoo stamps :(
But I will still be stampin' and loving every minute of it. patiently waiting for the 06/07 catalogue.

Default Happy w/ new Catty

I'm really happy with the new catty. Last year was a disappointment. But, I think they did a great job with this one. I look forward to "collecting" more stamps for my stamp addiction.

Thumbs up LOVE IT!

I love the new catty! I ooohed and aaahed all the way thru it. I like the samples of cards and scrapbook pages better than last years. I have a lot of the sets already because of the mini catty sets that made it to the new catty. Anyway, I love it!

I really love the new catty. The whole accessories section is awesome! So many new things to spice up a card or scrapbook page. My wish list is huge!

I love the new catalog. I think the cover colors are wonderful and enjoyed looking at the new sets. I think a lot of this year stamps are better than last year. They have added a lot of new things that are useful.

I was slightly underwhelmed by the new catty. However I do love the new colors and the craft spots. None of the stamp sets are true "I have to have it and I have to have it NOW!" But that's okay, I can concentrate on new colors and using the stamps I already have. If they had added too many things I *needed* I wouldn't be able to afford the old things I needed!

The only thing I have found that I don't like about the new catty....
WHO THE HECK THOUGHT OF PUTTING THOSE PAGE NUMBERS IN THAT WEIRD PLACE!!!!!???????
I am slightly relieved I don't want it all, because, it means I can work off the other wishlist, I already had. I still have plenty of new stuff on my list, and I am sure the SCS, will make me buy other sets, from cards shown.

You ladies are killing me. I am dying to see the new catty and have to wait for a little bit longer before I will get mine. Can anyone tell me if there are any poker/card sets? My DH is really into Texas Hold'em right now and I would love to have a set like that to stamp cards with.

I haven't gotten the new catty yet, but I also thought last year was a major disappointment. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. My favorite catty so far is from a couple of years ago... the cover is white/pink, and it shows a shelf... I'm at work now, so I don't know the year off the top of my head...

I really like it but am holding off on buying so many sets as last year I LOVED a lot of teh mini vatalog ones.

I think the samples with the new colors are reallllllly nice-I like teh samples a LOT better this year.
I also love the new accessories and sb'ing designer papers.
My wishlist is about $200 stamp sets, and $200 accessories. Ans that is only b/c I am buying no seasonal sets until I get the mini catalogs

I have to concur about the not-so-wow feeling ... until i hit the accessory pages ... the hodgepodge hardware is really cool ... I like the new ribbon colors, there are some really neat new box dyecuts that my head is spinning with ideas ... the new album colors ... whatelse? .... oh yeah, how about the new mini-book dyecuts that are all about making scrapin' fun!!! So needless to say cannot wait to get ordering and demoing this new stuff

The only thing I was disappointed in was that there aren't any new snowmen sets. I love snowmen.

I do love most of the new colors, gotta have them. Also really like some of the new backgrounds, and the accessories are awesome. Especially the mat pack, gotta have that.

i couldn't wait to see the new stamps sets.....sorry to say there were not many i really liked. i was disappointed in the ones i thought i couldn't live without.

i especially wanted the sign language ones, until i saw them. the hands loook really weird and don't look like the signs they represent.

oh well, this will save me some money and now i can concentrate on the swaps. maybe i'll see some new ideas from them. you ladies always give me great ideas.

i'm looking forward to seeing what you all do with the new stamps. i know you won't disappoint me.

Nope, no poker/card sets.
However, I LOVE LOVE the new catalog! I think the layout for some of the stuff in the back is much better and the new colors look great. There are a few sets I MUST HAVE IMMEDIATELY, but, not so many that it is overwhelming. Besides, we all know our opinions will change once we start seeing some fab samples from people on SCS, and especially the DD girls! Remember the Paisley Background?!

I really like the new catalog. There are quite a few sets that I really want to have & I like the new colors they have added. I also really like the samples they have but since I don't do much scrapbooking with stamps, I can go without those samples.
Overall, like it more than last year's.

I'm quite disappointed in the lack of little boys sets. I also am not very WOWed about this catalog - more wowed than last year, but still. Hm.

I looked through the catalog and I'm not BLOWN AWAY like I hoped to me. There are some sets that I'm wanting to get my hands on. I like the new design of the back of the book. Some samples are great but I'm a little disappointed. I couldn't sleep thinking about the new sets and now I know, I should of slept more and dreamt less over this catalog. Hopefully I'll see some wonderful samples that will inspire me to buy a few of the sets.

Sadly enough...I am not wowed either. I have only picked out about $100 in stamp sets. Last year, I bought over 50!:( Oh well, saves on the ole checkbook I guess!

I wasn't WOW-ed by the catty either, but there are a small number of sets I can't live without. It seemed there was a decrease in accessories as well (but I was sick last night when I was looking through it). I am glas to see there was no price increase though (unless I am blind). I will look again and again until the pages have falled out this year, just as in the past though.

i got my catalog last night and i found plenty that i would like to have ---last year when i first got the catalog i didn't see much i liked but the more time i spent on this website the more attractive certain sets got - i think the same thing will happen this year and that is just gonna play havoc with my credit card --- i already must have the new color spot set, natural beauty, just beakcause, best of cluck, artifacts and there are 3 or 4 alphabets sets i want! also last year the set loads of love didn't do much for me, but now with loads of love accessories i think it is soooo cute!

WELL! Tickle my wrist and call me Betty. The new catalog is HERE and I am in love and losing money with each turn of the page!!! DANG!!

Ok, so maybe I'm not finding something on EVERY page, but I am sufficiently WOWED. I'm likin' it MUCH more than last years!! Although I could live without the added creepy kids sets. (I'm sorry, but if you're going to give me kids, give 'em to me in a cartoon... these realistic looking ones creep me out!)...

I can't wait until YOU get YOUR catalog (if you haven't already!!)

No Wow? I loved it. I think it's the best one yet. They have so many more sets for scrap bookers and artists. Even the way they did the lay out of the 4 color groups is wonderful to look at. The only once again blaa part of this is....NO CANADIAN sets....Sigh. LOL time to get creative. Sandra

Overall, I think it's great. The color, the layout, and yes, I even like the placement of the page numbers (I like the new packaging too) ;) It's very clean and easy to look at. That said, there seems to be a lot of "weird" sets this time. Like those mice.....now I like mice (pg 101), think they're pretty darn cute, but those guys are just weird. Or Celebrate in Style (93), just to name 2. It looks like they may have changed designers or something. They almost seem amateurish...IMHO.

I apologize now to those of you I have offended because you really like those sets and can't wait to have them in your hot little hands.....not my intention

I am not that wow'ed by the stamps, but I could probably spend a couple hundred $$ on accessories!

Seems like the stamp images are getting more and more "cutesy."

There are many sets that I hope to get over the next year (as well as several accessories), but I was VERY disappointed to see that there were no new camping/fishing/outdoor sets, no new lighthouse/seashore/sailing sets, no new realistic wildlife (ie: Wolf or Yukon) and nothing new by the artist who did Summer by the Sea and Seaside Sketches. Hoping some of these types of sets will be represented in the mini-catalogs. Another Watercolor Garden type of set and a better representation of fall and winter sets would be very much appreciated, as well.

Of course, the new colors are awesome and the card samples are beautiful. I DO want a lot of stamp sets, but that's because I missed them when they were in the mini catalogs. I was a little disappointed that there weren't a lot of *new* sets. Yet, I added up all the things I want and it was over $700! Needless to say, I'll have to go slowly -- I still have to order Mixed Bouquet and Mixed Greetings -- that's how behind I am!

Default Cattie Thoughts

I believe that the examples in this cattie are some of the best I have seen in a S/U catalogue. That is very exciting. Not overly excited with the stamp sets. I don't know about you, all of the sets I wanted from the mini catties I purchased when they came out. Many of my customers are surprised to see so many stamp sets from the mini catties in the big catalogue and I would have to agree with them. I would love to see a wider selection of embellishments. The hodgepodge set is cool, but pricey. Just my thoughts on a hot Friday morning.

Default new catty

I love the new catty. There are stamps to appeal to all types in my opinion. I have already picked out over $600 worth of stamps and accessories that I want. Not as many stamps this time though. I have managed to collect so many su stamp sets that I am really particular about what I buy now to supplement my ever growing supply! I love the samples as well...gotta go look some more!

IMHO it seems as if this catalog is getting a little more in line with what's going on in the scrapping world these days... I'm not a scrapper, but I still like the newer styles, so it's fine with me! They've added more samples/projects that have lots more embellishments, are more detailed, etc.... I think they're trying to please both those who like to keep it simple as well as adding in examples for those who like the look of a lot going on in a card or page layout. My stamp set wishlish is a little shorter than usual, but that is probably b/c (like someone who posted above) I am trying to be more particular about what I actually purchase. I am running out of space, and while I do try to trade/sell on the BST forum, at some point that gets a little difficult when everyone is trying to trade/sell old stuff for new. I really do think they're trying to broaden their appeal with sets that are more scrapper AND stamper friendly (i.e. the Hula girl set... Do the Hula). I like that they're adding in more word sets in different styles... that makes it easier to use some of the sets I already have with newer words and phrases.

I think it's great that they're really listening to the wants of customers on some things... a Loads of Love accessory set, a smaller (i.e. more affordable!) Thank You set (Much Appreciated), the Mat Pack, Craft Spots, an add-on set to EFP, more accessories, and more exciting pre-cut stuff (Pockets and Pieces, Saddle Stitch & Accordian Book Kit).

Paint Prints

My one question - what happened to Paint Prints. All the other Celebration sets are in the new catty except my favorite. I also have customers now who want it and I can't sell it. Oh well.

I love the new catalog. There are many, many sets that I adore. I LOVE THE GNOMES. I knew I would since I read that they looked like Rhyme Time & "that scary clown" from last year's summer mini. I love the Loads of Love Accessories set & Tailgating (glad I bought Loads of Loved and Time for Trees last winter); I love Peace and Love & Sleigh Full of Toys; I love Happy Occasions (which reminds me of Happies of Holidays) and the jumbo wheel that goes with it; I love that Hollyhocks jumbo wheel - WOW; Farm Fever is great; Heartfelt Thanks is so beautiful - there are so many possibilities running through my obsessed brain right now about that set, and the wheel, Watercolor Joy, is so cute; I love Autumn Leaf Prints - it's so much like the one from last year, but the leaves are smaller and the set is more affordable for me; the new cat set and the new dog set are fantastic & their wheels are great; Label Classics is a wonderful new frame set.

New background stamps? Word by Word is a must-have. It reminds me of a father's day one from Great Impressions this year with all kinds of words for father/dad. Word by Word is like getting over 20 word stamps all in one. Boy, I had Fine Lace pictured wrong. Can't wait for that one. Houndstooth is great. Cheesecloth will end up being a favorite for many, the way it has a torn look. It will look so authentic. The only ones I'm not crazy about are Linograph and Ephemera. Just not my style.

The new birthday words set is on the list. There is a new Spanish words group which I love for some friends of mine who have Spanish-speaking grandparents.

Headline, Tidy and Whimsical are all my favorite new alphabet sets.

I haven't even looked at the samples, and I haven't looked at accessories!
