Index Card Quest: It's BACK! Please Help the SCS Gallery!
I've taken a couple month vacation from my index card quest to give you all a break. Well, it's almost time for a new SU! catalog, and new sets will be appearing--which means it would be really helpful to get those index cards made for all the sets we currently have in our SCS gallery. We have about 100 sets that need index cards out of 1000s of SU stamp sets in the SCS gallery!
So, what is an index card you may ask? Well, it is a card made from all of the images of a given stamp set--like this one: Index Card Example...
An index card allows you to see all the stamped images in a set, without having to flip through your catalog or retired catalogs as the case may be. They are especially helpful for when the new sets come out and you want to see the stamps in a set before you have an SU! catalog in hand.
Stampin' Up!'s copyright rules do not allow us to just photo copy the stickers or just stamp the images on a piece of paper and post those at the front of each gallery. Instead, the goal is to make the stamped images look like a card--but only displaying the images from that set.
What can you do to help?Look over the list below and decide if you have any of the stamp sets. If you do, post to this thread which stamp sets you'd be willing to make an index card. I will post to this thread to confirm that you have been assigned the sets you want to do (to make sure there are no duplicate efforts by all of you). Go and make your best card front with each image in your stamp sets and upload the images to the special collection "Index Gallery". Then post to the sticky index thread at the top of the General Stamping Talk forum to tell the mods that you have uploaded index cards for your stamp sets (please list them). The mods will then move the card to the appropriate set gallery and make it so that it is no longer in your personal gallery. Your artwork will then be forever more the first image in that set's gallery--a little immoratality and a little personal pride knowing you have helped SCS!

LeahsCreations: Thank you for pointing out two index cards that are completed. I tagged them as the first card in the gallery and when the gallery updates, hopefully they will start to stick where they are supposed to. When I went through the gallery last night, I found several galleries like that. I don't know why certain cards seem to move on their own. But I am grateful that these are already done! Thanks again!

I can do the Dilly-Dally Friends wheel and the With Honour wheel (if you mean the Canadian one). I'll need someone to PM me directions how to make/upload it as the index card though. I'll get them up one day this week.
I can do index cards for Happy Haunting, Property lines, & So Happy. I am out of town until Tuesday, but I will make them when I get back, if that will help.

Santa's Helpers doesn't have a category at all - I tried looking for them this weekend as I received my set from a lovely lady on here on Saturday. I believe that's what it's called - it says so on the sticker on the box. I could do an index card for this set if you wish but I might not be able to get it done until the end of the week.

saffivort...while the gallery has hundred's of SU! stamp sets, it does not contain an individual gallery for every one. If you have a stamp set that is like this, you can still do an index card for that set--that's great...it will just be uploaded in the S pictures and not in a specific gallery. Does that make any sense?

Hi Kelle,
yep that makes perfect sense. I could only find like 3 cards using these stamps so probably not worth having a gallery for them anyway, but I'll still do an index card just in case anyone else wants to look at them.
