Advent Calendar tins

Just wanted to say I LOVE the tutuorials for the Holiday Tutorial Blitz and wanted to say THANK YOU!!! to all the people who work so hard to make SCS such a success!

I bought my tins for Beate's calendar at Michael's with a 40% of coupon $19.99 for a 30 count package. However, I also saw them at Target in the wedding/party favors aisle. Interestingly enough, the baby favor packaged ones were 20/$19.99 and the wedding ones were 30/$19.99. I didn't actually open the packages to check if the sizes were the same, but they looked like exactly the same tins.

Hope that helps someone looking for the tins for the Advent Calendar.

I put all of the supplies on my list too. Wanted to get there today but I have two sick kids to tote. Ugh! Hopefully tomorrow. I just can't wait to get my calendar made. Looks like fun!!!!

I don't know if they are in the US, but in Canada you can get the tins at Lee Valley. www.leevalley.com They have several different sizes as well. I just bought a bunch there yesterday.

I'd love to get a magnetic background for mine - where are you getting yours? Pottery Barn and Container Store was where I was going to look.

I dont have those stores near me.. I was going to check a hardware store or as a last resort I was going to try a cookie sheet!

Does anyone know if Walmart carries the tins. We live in a small town with only Walmart (and that ain't saying much for the store we have). I would love to make one, but don't think I will luck out when I go to Walmart and again am disappointed because they don't have something I am looking for.

If anyone knows, please give a shout out.

I found them at Walmart in the wedding section. They were 15 for about $10. My Walmart is fairly small compared to most so I would think they would be everywhere!!

I think this Advent Calendar is adorable! Beate you have outdone yourself! Also, they have the 2" round metal tins at Oriental Trading 12 for $7.99.
