This week we are going to make Horizontal Pocket Cards. These are constructed the same way as the typical pocket card, except the pocket is on the long side of a card.
Please upload to the Pocket Card section of the Technique Spotlight and use keyword TLC141.
This challenge was inspired by a RAK sent to me by Jami. I didn't find it in her gallery otherwise I would link it here. Jami said she was inspired by StamperSharon's creations in the DD gallery. Thanks for the great ideas, girls!
Have fun!

Beth, you may want to edit your post to point out that the tutorial is for a vertical pocket card, because some of us visual -- follow the instructions step-by-step -- people are going to do just that and end up with the wrong kind - heehee. Thanks, much!
Okay, I hope everyone has a good laugh at my blooper. I followed the recipe in the tutorial, but didn't alter the instructions to fit HORIZONTAL dimentions.! What a dork, huh? Sorry about that. Please take a look anyway. I had fun and like the results!

I am not sure if this helps or not, I also had to go to the drawing board to get my figures because of the invertion of the tutorial.
To make a 4 x 51/2 standard size card you need:
1 piece of CS 8 1/2 X 5 1/2. for the base
1 piece of CS 3 1/4 X 5 for the insert
Score 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece at 4 and 1 1/4
Everything else sorta follows the tutorial.
Happy stampin, I will have to play after work. waayy
