OK, so in my excitement when I got my first set of stamps (alphabet stamps, no less), I just stuck them on the wood mounts without trimming the excess rubber. :oops: I didn't know that I needed to do that first! (I've since learned my lesson and actually READ the instructions on the back of the labels.) Anyway, obviously the extra rubber is grabbing way too much ink, and the stamps are practically useless.
Are there any tricks for taking the foam & rubber off of the wood mount and remounting the stamp after trimming it? The rubber seems pretty stuck on there.
Just stick your stamp in the microwave....yes, you heard right, the microwave, for 5-7 seconds. Take it out and remove the stamp, recut and put it back on!

Whenever I do the microwaving that Beate suggested, the "stick" comes off..it stays on the rubber. Once you micro, if you have stickies, we can all put our heads together....Goo Gone? Mineral oil removes goo, but I don't know that you want oil impregnating the wood...greasy cards..ick. :shock:
