Let's chalk it up today! Not with chalk pastels but with Chalk Inks! I love chalk inks but forget to use them a lot of the time. why? I have no idea! Chalk ink are fabulous inks combining the best of both pigment and dye. They have great opaque coverage, have a wonderful soft look, work great on many surfaces...love how they work on vellum, are permanent and wow...they dry fast! And lets not forget they work fabulous on clear stamps as well. What's not to love?! So pull them out and have some fun! I believe there are also some fun techniques with chalk inks in the resources section so make sure you take a peek.
Please remember to put WT138 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Please make NEW creations for this challenge. If you have any great tips or techniques using chalk inks that you'd like to share with us...by all means...we'd love to see them! No time limits or uploading limits on this challenge. This is a challenge, not a contest. Please feel free to play along no matter what your skill level. Challenges are a great place to stretch your abilities. Above all... have fun!
Need a little inspiration? You can check out our previous chalk ink challenge at WT35 wayyy back from November 15 2005.
wow, am I first??? nope...and I have to sit this one out too. No chalk inks here. I guess that is good, forces me to keep working on items for the upcoming craft fair I am doing.
Oooooh - I have ONE chalk ink in pink (guess what - my favorite color... LOL)
Will have a play and see what I can come up with..... I love these challenges. Only started using SCS for real a couple of days ago and now I am addicted..... thanks for your inspiration ladies!

Great Sarah! I'm so glad someone can play!
LOL I didn't think this would be such a difficult challenge! Sorry guys!
I might have to sit this one out too! I only have one chalk ink (Amber Clay... wonder why i kept that one??!! lol), I guess I could go up to mom's and use hers but i really need the excuse NOT to stamp today as i really need to clean! lol (I know, who wants an excuse not to stamp but to clean?? crazy!!)
Oh! Guess what?!?! Just looked through my ink drawer and found ONE chalk ink pad in burgundy! Whoo hoo! I can play! Now I just have to think of a great monochromatic theme!

Julia, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope today is a better day for you. I wish I could bring you some chicken soup! Hey, I know, I'll use my chalk inks to make you a get well card! Here I go!
Bummer...no chalk inks here!! But, like Amber, I probably need to "excuse" to go find my kitchen after the tornado that went thru there yesterday (MIL had a costume party for my boys...I made the goodies and the goodies are spread from one end to the other now!!) I will check in later to see the creations, I've wondered about these inks!
Don't have these Julia, but love the comment about being a challenge, not a contest and stretching our abilities. I will upload for the color challenge that was a big stretch and try yours again next week. I have to practice linking which Roxie so patiently walked me through yesterday. Hope you're on the upward swing healthwise.
My chalk inks also sit neglected...don't ask me why either?...they have such a wonderful "look"...can't play today...but will be back in the next few days with something!
Oh darn, I threw these away...Gasp! Mine were a mess and you're right, I never used them. Now once I see what everyone's making I'm sure I'll regret giving them the heave ho.
