WT137 Masquerade
With Halloween just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make today's challenge a little masquerade. What do I mean? Well....today I'm challenging you to use a mask. Now this may sound like more of a technique challenge but it's not. You can use any type of mask you wish in any manner...no specific technique. Use a positive mask, a negative mask, try out blocked collage, mask cloud shapes to create a sky, you can even make your own Halloween mask if you are REALLY ambitious! LOL And so...pull out a mask and get to work.
Post-it notes make great masks ...just a little extra info. If you have any masking tips or techniques...don't be afraid to share them on this thread!
Sorry for the delay this morning...a myriad of mother moments and some more frustrating computer woes...sigh. I thought for a while I might have to call someone to post this but I persisted!
Please remember to put WT137 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your work. Please upload new designs for this challenge....we want to challenge you today and this week to use your masks.
My sample:
Snowflake Joy Ornament
Thanks for playing along!
Have a fabulous day!

Great challenge, Julia, and your card is gorgeous. Does a masking tape background (faux leather) count for this challenge?

Sounds good to me!
I love to use typing or tracing paper for masks as they are thin, you can stamp right over top and yet will not get your fingers as dirty as a piece of acetate when the ink is on it!

I love masking with Autumn Harvest - that's all I've been doing lately. Thanks for the excuse to delay the switch to winter cards for one more day, Julia

Carried Away!
I really did the masking technique and it looks great, but then I got carried away with adding and you can hardly see the sky I masked. IRL you can see it well though. Trust me, okay? lol
Masked clouds
Thanks for looking. I hope you like it. I appreciate your comments.

Thanks Julia!

GIVE THANKS
I love masking, but seems like I very seldom use this technique. This was a great challenge, thanks Julia, you always do such a great job at getting us busy, and trying new things.

Great challenge Julia. I have to get to work, but hopefully I can play later.
I just wanted to mention
Eclipse Masking tape . It is so much better than post it notes! It's nice and thin and sticky all over - very low tack. In case some haven't heard of it before.
