Default Does anyone use Longaberger in your stampin' space?

I thought I saw a photo of someone's space using the Desktop basket, but now I can't find the photo. I was thinking that would be nice in my space. Any other suggestions?

Do I have Longaberger baskets! My husband would be rolling his eyes at this! I use the Vanity Basket with the divided protector to hold my monoadhesive, sponges, brads, business related receipts, eyelet tools, stylus, etc.

I have several of the small hostess baskets, too. The small round one holds several of my favorite embossing powders so they're right at my fingertips. Another small one (looks like the old Vegetable Basket) holds my pens and pencils. I also use the Knick Knack Basket to hold my scissors, Stampin' Mist and Crystal Effects.

My Medium Storage Solutions Basket with the divided protector holds all my eyelets in one section, my punches in another and then miscellaneous stuff in the third compartment.

Lastly, my Small Workload Basket holds all my extra rubber pieces (in baggies of course) plus my cello bags and an extra set of markers.

I might be missing a few, but that's the majority.

I hope I've given you some ideas!

Default Does anyone use Longaberger

Just doing a quick count, I found 43 LB baskets in my stamp room. Most have stamp stuff in them.
I'm lucky enough to be visiting Dresden in November on a bus trip. It will be soooo neat!

I use my Longaberger baskets too! I use several of them actually. I won't go into all the details because I think Yvette gave you a pretty good idea. The one I probably like the most because they fit perfectly is an older Lavender Booking basket for my blender and misc pens.

Go check out Beverly M's stampin space in the gallery - she has an awesome stampin space and she uses several LB baskets in her area.

I use my Longaberger baskets too in my stamp area. My small wash day & large market baskets hold all of my stamp sets because I don't have shelves yet. My button basket holds my adhesives. The hostess baskets hold miscellaneous small items. My notepal basket hold all of my receipts that have to do with my business. Too many more to list.

I asked this in another thread, but does anyone insure their baskets? I've spent well over $3,000 in these baskets and would hate to see something happen to them.

I think you may be referring to Bev Moeller (I hope I didn't spell that wrong- if so, I apologize)! She is one of the Dirty Dozen. I know she posted some beautiful pics of her space. Hope this helps!

My sister loves them, we once saw a huge one with a lid at a flee market in great shape for $50. We went back the next day and it was gone. My sister kicked herself the whole way home cause she didn't buy it when she first saw it.... Poor girl, I felt bad for her.

Eww... I would've kicked myself too! I have a couple. I think that I like the organized look. And you can hide so much "junk" in a very stylish way. I now spend my money on rubber and well more rubber!

I live in fear that someone will invite me to one of those Longaberger basket parties. I am so afraid of adding yet another addiction. I've seen them on ebay and wow are they tempting....

Are they worth the $?

YES very much worth the money! I bought all the time when I was working. I quit working when I found out I was in the beginning of my pregnancy and don't buy as much only because the income isn't there to buy.

I love to get my box of baskets when I get a order in and open the box and love the smell. The smell of the baskets just come pouring out of the box. I'm probably weird but my Longaberger demonstrator does the same thing. And I love the fact that they are made right here in the US so the money is being spent in the right place.

I too have LB baskets in my stamping room. I use a large market for carrying demos, misc. cards, and stuff to and from home parties. I use pie basket to hold cut cs and stuff planned for a stamp camp or whatever. Most of my baskets are displayed on top of my kitchen cupboards. I have tried to encorporate them more in a functional manner opposed to a decorative manner but just don't do it.
I haven't bought a basket in so long, although I did just buy the cute pumpkin plaemats-they areabsolutely adorable.

I don't have any in my craft area just because I can't afford them as I am a SAHM. Well, I probably could afford them if I wasn't so addicted to buying craft supplies. I did go crazy and buy my ds a LB for Easter this year. Of course, I had to have the basket, liner, ribbon for the handle, glass bunny that goes inside...

I also have the address file and an Easter basket for dh from when we were married. I told him that I am getting myself an older one off ebay one of these days as well.

The only expensive Longaberger basket is the un-used variety!

I think I own about a 100 LB's & use a majority of them for SU supplies. I signed up as a demo for LB just to get that great starter kit for cheap & b/c my sister-in-law (who has a huge clientele) can't share even 25% off with her immediate family.

OK...this is sooo weird! I have a bunch of LB, mostly in storage. My sister-in-law sells them and I do get a discount! ) I got a new catalog in the mail this afternoon and said to myself, "Boy I love these. Wish I knew what I could do with these. I mean the Christmas ones are awesome!!" Anyway, now I know! I'm going to dig out my baskets from my attic and organize my accessories!! (Yes, they're in my attic because I have this thing about clutter.)

Thanks for inspiring me to use my baskets! I currently just display most of them on top of our entertainment center - but I could use them for my craft things!!!

My sister is a serious addict to the baskets - for my wedding, she had all of the guests sign the lid to the pie basket for us as a memento of the day. I know.... some of you will say that signing it ruined the "value" - but for me, it increased it to have it as a reminder of that day!

I really like them, but like others, being a SAHM prevents me from buying them. My mother has been getting the Christmas baskets for the girls in the family for the last ten years or so, so I have a nice collection of those! I also get tempted when I visit Dresden (my parents grew up near that town) - there is always something to buy!

Steph-
That is such a nice idea about signing the lid. For me, the true value of these baskets is seeing them live up to their potential. I want to rescue all of the ones that I see on ebay that are 10 years old and still trapped in their original plastic!

I too use LB baskets in my stamp room. I will be with the company for 5 years on Sept. 13th. I am also a SU demo. The spring basket hold cards wonderfully!!!. I love the retired card keeper basket. I definetly think baskets and stamps go together!! If you have any LB baskets you should use them. They cost too much not to!!

I use LB throughout the house. I use mainly the smaller baskets in my stamping area. They are great for holding all those fibers, do dads, and embellishments.
For the person who mentioned the fear of being invited to a LB party....just don't touch them and you will be OK. If they pass around a basket, DON'T TOUCH! Just look at prices and keep going! This worked for me for 2 years...then the dreaded day came and I actually held one....
However, now I just take along some rubber... they say most people replace one addiction with another...when you smell those baskets....just reach for some stamps....smell the rubber...don't touch....escape with finances intact.
or at least intact until you smell the rubber again and rush to your SU catalogue!

ok... the Room is a big-fat-mess, but you can see 10 or so of The Baskets... The glazed look on my face is from "sniffing" The Baskets! I LOVE that smell... I never thought I could ever EVER get addicted to anything like stamping. Then LB caught me off guard and became another addiction!

(apologies for bad photo/size/etc... I can never get this to work right :? )

I LOVE my Longaberger baskets. I carry my card samples to shows in the bread basket. I also use the picnic basket to pack all my supplies for my projects at the show.

I use the medium gathering basket to store ink pads, the medium storage solutions for inkpads, the large storage for some of my stamps that I want to tote to workshops. I use the newspaper basket to store my papers, and the bread basket with the divided protector for brads, pencils, eyelets and setter. Makes my craft room look great. For those of you who buy or want to buy, have you considered bartering with your Longaberger rep? Baskets for stampin' stuff. Win Win situation! I'm a Longaberger rep, and I just love the ideas I just got from all of you, Thank YOu, Thank You, Thank You!!! :P

The beginning of this year marks 10 years with Longaberger. I started buying them when I was a young single Business Woman in 1989. Oh my how time flies!! I am not an active consultant though since I cannot have home parties over seas. Which I think Stinks!! That is why I now sell SU! It is true, you have to replace one obsession with another.

There are well over 200 baskets in this home. And I love to use them in the craft room! We did have extra insurance when we lived in the states but right after 9/11 the resale value went down and we dropped most of the extra insurance. When we get back we will probably get the addtl insurance again.

Mandy - no reason to be jealous..... you can just save some $ and buy more stamps!!!

I personally LOVE longaberger baskets. CM was my first obsession, Longaberger my second and SU my third...... My husband is actually the one who wanted the baskets. He saw a basket in someones home and loved the purpose it served then we found the pottery!! That was all she wrote - he APPROVED my spending tons of $ to put pottery in the kitchen and baskets around the house!! We love them. Either way I use the mother's day basket from a few years back (photo frame lid) to store my unused cards in, and some small baskets to hold things like push pins, rubberbands etc.. I use most of my baskets in the other parts of the house as I work in a closet (10x7ft) right now!

There is nothing like the smell of new longaberger baskets out of the box!!!
