Hi there everyone. I am so very honored to be the guest hostess for this weeks challenge, thank you tons Beth. Since I have to get the kids up, to school and to work AND I'm on the west coast I thought I would post now before hitting the hay.
Today's technique challenge is to make an Acetate Card. Let's see what fun we can all come up with.
And here is my first attempt at making an acetate card (I can make another 199 cards since my box of acetate sheets contains 100 sheets of 8.5x11 , so I'll keep trying): Snowman Acetate by Mama Kim at Splitcoaststampers
My 3 grandchildren, I love being a Grandma! My profile picture is a 5 generations picture with my granddaughter. I'm the one in the pink. lol (Back Right) Too fun.

I'm new to SCS, never done a challenge before and decided yesterday that I was going to give today's a go - so I'm really excited to see it's such a great challenge! Even more excited because it's morning here in Scotland and I thought I'd check by, even though I didn't think the challenge would be up yet, and whaddya know, it is!! Going to have fun doing this, i just know I am! Now I just need to learn how to upload!!!
Great challenge. Thanks for our guest hostess. Alas I have no acetate and no plans to go anywhere today. Can't wait to see whatever one else comes up with. Whenever I get some acetate, I will play.
I must have known something - would you believe I purchased 10 sheets of acetate this morning????? But .............. I don't have any Stazon - I'm assuming the regular SU inkpads or Craft pads won't work???? Oh well - I'll do this when I finally get my Stazon!!!! Great challenge!!!
Thanks for this challenge, and for guest hosting this one, Mama Kim. I am going to try this just as soon as I read the tutorial. I haven'nt tried this before but I have the acetate ( I think).

Here's mine! This challenge was kind of a bonus for me, since I made this card last weekend while surprising some of my downline at their small Shoebox Swap they were having. I was in town to surprise my Grandparents for their 60th anniversary and surprised my mom, and fellow downline member, at this shoebox swap.
This was the project designed by Karen Strahler. She has lots of other great samples, but she doesn't have a gallery... yet! Thanks for looking! Fun type of card to make!
Linda's card is, indeed amazing! I've never tried this so off to Office Depot (after work and if I have any energy since I've had this bug -- literally they think it's a bug) for over 4 weeks now! I'm just exhausted!
Kim --- thanks for such great technique challenge. I have been wanting to do this for some time.....I finally had a reason. I had to hunt down some acetate....alittle aged looking.....here is my card....
