Question Perfect Layers Tools for Borders Kit

Hi has anyone here bought this set ? If so how do you find it ..?

I have the perfect layers tool and was looking to buy one for my mum for christmas but I discovered there is a slightly diff version available now - though it seems not from Stampin Up only from QVC US .. Can anyone confirm whether this is the case

Here is the item I am asking about ?
www.qvc.com
Item Number F00911
Set of 4 Perfect Layers Tools for Borders Kit

* one Perfect Layers tool for 1/8"W, 5/8"W, 1/4"W, and 3/8"W borders
* one Perfect Layers tool for 1/16"W, 1/2"W, 3/16"W, and 5/16"W borders
* one Perfect Layers tool for 3/4"W and 1"W borders
* one Perfect Squares tool

Now I may be being stupid but I do not fully understand how the triangle bit works "Perfect Squares tool" and moreover what the difference is between using that and an ordinary Set Square ( not sure if you call these the same in the US , basically its a plastic right angle triangle ruler)

If anyone can help me understnad this I would be very grateful PLUS any comments regarding using the new Borders and Perfect Squares tool...

Many Thanks

I got the perfect layers when I was scrapbooking and used it often. The ruler part was the same, but they didn't have the corner tool at that time. To be honest, I haven't used it once since I started making cards. I use my Tonic paper cutter and I'm able to cut very precisely with that. HTH

Here is the website that sells this tool now. There is a video there to show you how it works. Click on the "Shop" button to see the different versions available:

You know, I just looked at that site before I posted my comment and thought it wasn't the same because the triangle was missing for the perfect squares. However, when I went back and took a second look, I found the triangle piece is still available, but as a separate purchase. Unfortunately for me, it costs more money this way, but at least I can still get it. Thank you VERY much for replying so quickly, I really appreciate it!
