A box arrived today from a magazine I had submitted and had some projects accepted; I promptly mailed the projects as directed. They have changed their minds and now rejected and returned them. :?
Another box arrived with it. From Lana.
Oh MY WORD!!!!!!!!
I took a photo of the box contents, after I lovingly explored each item! So many fun trinkets AND CHOCOLATE!!!!!, and a beautiful card, and most darling of all:
A CROWN AND SCEPTAR!!!!! (sp???)
I will post, after someone gets home to take a photo of me WEARING my new crown!
Oh, I DO feel royal, I DO, I DO, I DO!!!!!!!!!
Too much, Lana, too too much!!!! But, I do love it all and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Julie - a queen MUST have a crown. It's just that simple.
Now, if you're like Lana....and don't want to part with it, you'd best find a new one to send to the NEXT lucky Queen for a Week!
Julie - you deserve it! You are an inspiration!!

Nothin' like a crown/tiara to give you a lift! When I was hanging out on the Sweet Potato Queens Message Board, I started a program called T.I.T.S. -- Tiaras In Transit Society! lol I would sent a tiara to anyone who didn't already have one. I bought them from eBay (although a few were donated by other Queens) and sent them out for free. I can't tell you how happy it made them and ME! Enjoy your crown... just try to wear it a lot... doing chores, stamping, out to dinner, whatever! It's sorta like a RAK... it will make people smile and giggle... always a good thing! We share tiaras with waitstaff or whoever wants to try them on. It's great!

ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!! How absolutely CHARMING!!!!! You are so right--it does give a girl a lift!!!! T.I.T.S. is a very cool idea and I'm sure you've made SOOOOOOO many folks' days brighter and lighter with your generous spirit of humor!
I tip my crown, m'lady!

First, YAY Lana, you always know just the right thing to do, say, or send. And you have awsome timing.
Now, Julie, all right - what was the mag editor thinking? I want names - I have plenty of TP, and I'm not afraid to use it! (Ok, it's not exactly mine, my mom stocked up for y2k, I bet everybody on here could still have some!) I'm from Jersey, not for nuthin, we know connections, ya knows 'ut I mean? (Use your best Sopranos character there)
The rejection didn't bug me so much as holding onto my project/article for soooooo long after accepting it. Here I took the time to package them carefully, write up step-by-step instructions, etc. and paid to ship them priority.
On a good note, the write-ups are already completed and as I now have the prototypes back, I guess I can just submit to another mag and see if THEY want 'em!
On further good note, I finished all my tasks in the castle . . . tomorrow I get to spend the day in the Royal Rubber VAULT!!!!!! Heh, heh, heh!
With my crown ... undisturbed for at least 6 hours ...

I need somebody to come home to take my photo, but at the same time, the castle floor is sooooooo CLEAN right now! This is a historic moment!!!!! I must annotate it in the royal archives!!!!!
If any of the royal subjects return, all could be for naught!!!!!!!! :(
Of course, the VAULT is a whole different story; ack! But, there's enough room on the counter to stamp, so I'm stamping first, cleaning later---waaaaay later! LOL!
The Queen's gotta have a reprieve from duty to engage in some frivolity, eh?
I'm getting dizzy with anticipation ...
