 I feel like such a newbie. I've only been stamping for a few months and have a few SU sets. I've been online for hours now checking out the site and left the gallery to last. I think it is wonderful;however, I am a little intimidated by the SU section on the gallery. I don't know the names of my sets and I'm not sure how to go about searching for ideas without spending too many hours looking. Before you ask, no I don't have a catalog - guess that should be soon on my list! Any other suggestions? Thanks for everyone's help! Julie Ann

Hi and welcome. Maybe you could start by just looking at samples of the sets you already have? That would give you ideas that you can use immediately...HTH. Have fun looking, I do!
The sets all come with a clear adhesive strip with the set name imprinted on it that is meant to be applied to the outside of the plastic storage box. That way you always have a handy, at-a-glance reference for your sets. A catalog is nice to have for card ideas!

Or, you could look at the most recent posts. That may give you an idea of which sets you want to explore! This years' catalog is about to expire, when the new ones come your demonstrator may be able to give you a deal on an old one. I love old catalogs!
If you would like, try to describe some of your stamps to us demostrators and i am sure that we will be able to help you figure them out! Also what year you bought them in...word stamps, etc.
I'll tell you I felt completely out of my league when I first saw this site, well now I am a regular chatterbox! This is the best for asking ANY question, these are the nicest bunch of ladies around!
Thank you for all the prompt and informative replies. There are definitely a lot of possibilities out there - now if I can just find the time to explore them. I didn't realize that there were names with the stamps to be adhered to the boxes. I wish I had realized this sooner, but I will know for the future. Thank you to all and happy stamping! Julie Ann

I have two sets that I'm not sure how to identify - one set is from 2004 and has 12 little stamps tht have little pictures and sayings with them - examples: hat that says hats off, daisy that says loves me...
The other set has 8 stamps and has a set of tulips in a pot that say thank you and a tea set that says thanks so much... it says 1996.
Thanks to anyone that can help identify them!
Julie Ann
PS - I am just thrilled with this site and the wonderful people who use it!

Hi! Your first set is call "A Little Love", but look for it in the gallery under, "Little Love, A". I'm not sure about the second; hopefully someone can help you!
Hi Julie Ann! The first set (from 2004) sounds like "A Little Love" from 2004 Sellabration. It was one of 4 sets that you could only get with a $50 purchase. Do you have a Mini Sellabration catalog? It is fun to have because if has some cute ideas for using your set. I have an extra one if you would like, I would be happy to give it to you!
I am not familiar with the second set, as I am relatively new to Stampin UP myself!
Have fun! This is a really fun hobby!! :-) Alicia
Alicia - you are right. My first order was from that mini and that is where I got the set. I no longer have that little book, but would be most appreciative if you could share your extra book. I'll send you some creations in exchange! Thank you! Julie Ann
You can email me for my address etc. Thanks again!
