SEP07VSNQ - SAT 10pm - Fall into the Money(holder)-- Chat Thread
Fall into the Money(holder)!
Autumn Fairy Hostess: Heather (alcesalces)
Keyword: SEP07VSNQ
Time: 10:00 PM EST, Sat
Hello everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying VSN! Fall is my favorite time of year because I love all of the colorful, crisp, and crunchy leaves. And speaking of crisp- have you ever needed a unique yet quick way to give some crisp new dollar bills or a gift card? These money holders are made out of an envelope and even teens will be impressed by their “coolness”!
So dust off that crimper - you know, the one you bought a long time ago with a 50% off coupon, but haven’t used very often -- or get out your Cuttlebug!! Grab some envelopes and some ink and CREATE!
If you don’t get it right the first time, start over again, it’s only an envelope!
Sample by Denise (resqbarbie) -- thanks so much for sharing your wonderful work!!!

I'm confused at why you cut off the top and how you're supposed to put it back on. Maybe I'm just tired cuz it looks like it should be easy. ;) That, or I fried my brain with the waterfall card. :p
I just tried to open it and thought I would copy and paste and PM Joan with it...Took forever to download it and then wasn't able to open it...Kind of odd..

The part you cut off becomes the "lid"...the bottom is crimped so that it will fit in the lid. Does that help?

When you cut off the top, you run the bottom through a crimper or cuttlebug and then the top will fit on the bottom. Clear as mud?

LOL! Could be, Jen! You take the top off, crimp the bottom so it shrinks up a bit, then put the top back on and VOILA! It fits!
You should still be able to play. Yours will just be a different size.
Yep this is what I was going to say - any size envelope will work. I don't have a crimper I just accordian folded mine and it worked. Give me a minute and I'll post it.
Never made one of these -- the tutorial is excellent, easy to follow, and I am just thrilled with what I came up with for my nephew's birthday next week. Thanks so much Heather for the challenge. Love this! (I'll post my moneyholder as soon as I upload!) - Dee
So sorry for the *kinks* in getting this challenge going -- but they really are cute little moneyholders!!
Hopefully we've ironed everything out now, and everyone can open her tutorial. Please send some *get well* thoughts Heather's way - she is feeling a bit under the weather tonight!
