Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge procrastinator! I never think about gifts until the day before, and then it is impossible (for me) to do anything really spectacular. So this year I am going to try to get done early! One gift I've always wanted to try was stamping on candles. So get out your supplies and let's get some gifts made early this year!
SCS has a great tutorial by Jenni Mouer (aka Jenmouer).
You don't need to use wax paper, but I found it controlled the drips...if you opt not to use the wax paper, add a bit of glue stick to the tissue paper (just in a couple spots - don't tear it by trying to get the whole thing covered)...and be careful when you heat it!
My sample is attached and uploaded. And yes, these things really are simple and totally doable in 45 min!!
Please make sure you upload your image to the Anything But a Card -> Stamping on Candles gallery! Thank You!
Uploading Instructions:
*You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge
*Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
*It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.
Super fun! I didn't buy anything off the shopping list, so i am off to raid my decor!!!!
Yes...I had to get a candle from one of my living room candle sticks! LOL! I will be giving this as a door prize at my next workshop! Here is mine:De*light* candle

Hey Karen! I added a thumbnail to your op, but here is my second candle in my gallery, too! Thanks for the great challenge - I love these, and they are gonna be a huge hit this fall and Christmas as "hostess" gifts when we go to friends' and family's holiday open houses!!
This is a terrific challenge but I'm going to wait til it cools down a bit here. I can't even think about the heat gun right now. The temperature feels like it rose. Maybe I'm running up and down the stairs too much. My stamping area is in the basement and the computer is a desktop in the office. Maybe I need a laptop just for my stamping endeavors??????Someone email me DH! LOL
I haven't done this in sooooo long. It was wonderful to try this again, and though pretty simple, I like how it came out. Hope my mom likes it -- I made it for her since she loves birds. TFL! -- Dee SEP07VSNJ Gifty Bird by deezinkpad at Splitcoaststampers
I love making these and was so excited, but after 39 minutes of looking for tissue paper I'm out of luck!! Maybe later after I go to the store, I'm sure I can throw something together in the 6 minutes I have left. Time out!!
This was a great challenge. Since I've never done this before, I made it simple, but will try a more challenging one in the future. Still don't know how to add a link, but all things come with time....

Hmmmm...I am stumped...what kind of marker can I use? I don't have a clue what an aquapainter even is! I have sharpies, crayola, and some SU markers. Will any of those work, or do I need to just choose a solid stamp?

Great challenge, Karen! I even finished with a little time to spare...didn't take much thought at all....now I'll have some time to clean up my mess from the last couple of challenges before the next one is posted;)
Alright I was so happy completing the challenge and feeling like I caught up the I did not see the part about what gallery to upload to. Do I need to upload again?
