I should be getting a level 3 hostess set during my host yourself first demo party and just can't decide which one to get....what would you pick and why'?
I was totally set to get Little Layers Plus and Burst Into Bloom, but now I am debating getting a Level 3 while I have the chance.....
My advise is to get a level 3 set. The hostess sets usually show up in the following year's catalog. The level 3 sets will be the more expensive sets as compared to level 1 and 2. This way you will get an expensive set for Free! Also, it will be easier to reach a level 2 later in the year than it will a level 3.
As for the sets, I am absolutely in love with Ageless Adornment. Check the SCS gallery. Beautiful cards have been made with this set. Also, the pharses that come with that set are tender and loaded with wisdom.
Emily, I would definitely get a level 3 set while you can. You will find other opportunities throughout the year to get a level 1 or 2. So, grab the level 3 because its much harder to be able to acheive again.
As far as WHICH one to pick.... that's a toughy! They are all wonderful in their own way. Tag Time was my original favorite, then I started diggin' on What Could Be Better? But after seeing some of the work on this site, I really like Ageless Adornment. They are all good. Check out their galleries to see which one fit you best! Tag Time does have a lot of occations on there.... but you can always use the others for versatility, too!
Since you'll be able to get a level 3, I would say...get that one instead of a level 1 or 2. It's not that easy to earn a level three so if you have a chance, go fo it. I earned a few sets from Spring Into Action and was able to get 2 level 2's and 2 level 3's. I could have gotten like 3 or 4 level 1's but figured it would be a lot easier to earn those throughout the year. As for which one's I got...Tag Time and What Could Be Better. I'm really not into the Ageless Adornment but if and when I do earn another one, I would get it and try to like it But I'm into more cutesy stuff.
I love Ageless Adornment (love that butterfly), but I love to color (especially watercolor) and that's why I love that set. I'm also partial to realistic looking stamps versus cutesy stamps. So I guess it just depends on your tastes and what you enjoy stamping. The level 3 sets couldn't be more different from eachother!
No question: pick a Level 3 set! First, they're the hardest to get; if you end up doing mostly parties hostessed by others, you may not have another opportunity to turn in a big enough order to get this for yourself. I'd get Ageless Adornment. It demos beautifully; I went to a workshop recently where we made a card with it and everyone (young & old, crafty or not) loved it.
I too would get a level 3 - they are harder to get and if they do go into the catty, they are more expensive. I just got What Could be Better & really like it. I love the little retro flowers.
It depends on what stamps you already have. If you are just getting started, I would definitely recommend Tag Time. It is very versatile. However, if you have lots of stamp sets already, you may not need all the different holidays, etc. If that's the case, I would go with Ageless Adornment. I got Tag Time with the Spring into Action promotion, and believe it or not, have never used it. If I am looking for any of those particular holidays, I go with another set, because I have so many!
My new recruit, howver, uses her Tag Time ALL the time, because she doesn't have very many different sets to choose from. She has made some wonderful things with hers, both for cardmaking and scrapbooking.
Have fun choosing!!

That's kind of what I thought about Tag Time. I have enough sets that I tend to not use those kind. I am so torn between fun What could be Better and pretty Ageless Adornment......
That is a tough decision. I have tag time for signing up in March, and I do use it some, but if I had my choice, I would have gone for one of the other 2. They are both really great. I would kind of lean to ageless adornment. I love the butterfly, and the christmas cards that have been made here with it are very elegant.
I picked What Could be Beter and I really like it. I have a few sets that remind me of Ageless Adornment (like All Nautral for one...) and I didn't have to many things like WCBB. I have used it for M&T tags. I'll scan them and post them now.
Basically, you just take a 2 1/2 x 5 piece of CS and fold it in half. Very easy and cost effective!

I got both Tag Time (for signing up in March!) and Ageless Adornment (for Spring Into Action) and I have to tell you, I LOVE Ageless Adornment even though I ususally go for the more cute stuff. I demoed it recently and everyone thought it was so great. Just my $.02.

definately tag time...it seems to be so so versital, and could be used for a told of different things...and ditto to what everyone else said about getting the level 3...yeah, it's nice to knock out 2 at once, but it's way harder to reach a level 3, and at the very worst, u can always get them next year in the catty!! hth

I saw your tags and it totall changed my mind!! I loved them!
I got Ageless Adornment and LOVE it! I hope I can do another Level 3 order sometime so that I can get What Could Be Better as I really like that "retro" look ~ hopefully I can pull it off!

What a wonderful dilema!! I'll never reach a level 3 hostess set, but would absolute LOVE to have the Calla Lily from the Ageless Adornment set. They are one of my favorite flowers and I had them in my wedding. It would be so nice to use that stamp in my wedding album.
Whatever you select - enjoy!!!

Julie Ann, never say never!! By just talking to a few people, you will be amazed at how quickly those orders add up and before you know it, you will be qualifying for a Level 3 Hostess set!!
Hugs, Alicia
Sorry, what is a 'host yourself first demo party'? It sounds self explanatory. Do you just host your own demo or do you do something else as well?
I don't know when I will have the chance to get a level 3 set (but I know I will) but I think that when I do I will get WCBB after reading everyones replies. I would have gotten Tag Time. Maybe I will earn it the next. Thanks for posting that question.

It is the first party that you have as a demo, you get 30% off your own order and you make 30% instant income (instead of 20%) on other peoples orders.
