I posted a thread a few days ago about a stamp store new Hilton Head, SC and am sooooo thankful for the suggestion to hit Carolina Stamper in Beaufort, SC. Carolina Stamper is about a 50-minute drive from Hilton Head but WAY worth it!
The store was completely packed with fun stamping and scrapbooking stuff. The first portion of the store was aisles and aisles of paper and scrapbooking accesories, which any good stamper knows can enhance a stamping experience. With a plethora of punches in all of the sizes and designs that you can NEVER find when you want them as well as dry embossing punches and tools I was off to being in heaven.
Embellishments of buttons, stickers, ribbons, fibers, beads (there was a station for making your own jewelry too!), wire, metals, and more dodads that I can recall fulled up the store amidst the papers.
Finally, the stamping stuff was around the bend....I took a deep breath and stepped forward. I became lost in the aisles of stamps categorized by theme. Across from the aisles of stamps were card/box templates, pre-cut card sets, polyshrink, lens sheets as well as the unmounted selection of stamps.
Mt favorite aisle contained stamping accesories....stamp pads (memories, brillance, kaleidacolor, adirondack, versacolor, versamark, chalks inks, etc.) REINKERS (I can NEVER find these when I want them!!!), alcohol inks, dove REFILLABLE blender pens, mica chips, foil, melting pot, glitters, embossing powders, leafing kits, papermaking kits, daubers, stipple brushes, dimensional adhesives...honestly, there was more than this. I am just so overwhelmed that I can't think of anymore!!!
Most of you have probably been to an awesome stamp store before, but this is my first experience. I thought that there was a cool store in Columbus, OH, but that store was no match for Carolina Stamper! The prices weren't too bad either.
Thanks again! Just had to share....btw, my DH drove me to Carolina Stamper and either followed me around the store or sat and read a stamping magazine the entire time I was there. He rocks!
I missed your post the other day, but I'm glad someone steered you in the right direction! My MIL lives in the Beaufort area and every time we go visit, I have to go to the Carolina Stamper! Don't you just love the bubbles?! When that store first opened, they just had a few aisles and it was very open with most of the things displayed along the walls. Every time I go back, the store gets more and more cramped and I LOVE it! They just keep adding new things!

I'm glad you liked it. It sounds like it's grown a lot since I've been there. I hoped you didn't get rained on the whole time - it's been a lousy week weather-wise.
There is another stamp and scrapbooking store in Beaufort, S.C.--Port Royal area. It is called Cutting Edge Crafts and owned by a wonderful stamper called Sheila Barnes. It is on Highway 802 which runs off 170, go past the Parris Island bridge and it is on the left hand side in a small strip mall--#1750-D Ribault Rd. Visit her if you are in the area.
Hi Stampinsweeney,
I'll be visiting my sister in Columbus soon. Can you tell me where to find the cool stamp store?
Thanks!
There is one at Polaris Parkway:
