I think I've been a very good girl this week. I did get some new scissors and gel pens at Costco over the weekend, but I really did need them. And maybe I'm feeling buoyed because I'd placed a Frugalities order right before DH and I had our talk, and it arrived yesterday, and I know I'll be getting new SU stuff for my anniversary in about 5 weeks. Anyway, I think I'm holding pretty strong so far. How's everyone else doing?
I haven't spent anything significant. I did get a box of medium sized binder clips from staples so I can make some mini coaster clipboards. It has been touch though. I was just checking out Papertrey Inks blog because they have 2 new sets coming out on Wednesday, plus a bunch of fun accessories. I can be strong, I hope. Glad you are doing well.
I haven't purchased anything! Yeah. Well we were on vacation from Thurs-Sun so that helped. I think I will be in good shape this week. I have so much to do I don't see myself getting any shopping in. Hope everyone else has a spend-free week!
I need to join! I had a shopping spree for my birthday. I bought: a cuttlebug, 5 embossing folders, 2 alphabet die sets, and I placed a frugalities.com order. My husband did not even ask how much I spent.
I need to join not because he has given me 'the talk' - DH doesn't pay the bills, and knows I wouldn't spend it if we didn't have it. I need to join because I only make about one card a week, if that, and yet I've spent probably $500 in the past month on supplies. That's ridiculous!!!
So, no more buying for me until I use up some of what I have. Maybe if I didn't spend so much time in the stores and online, I'd have more stamping time!

I need to join too! I have too many stamp sets that are not inked up and a pile of DP with the intention of buying new BasicGrey stuff. I'm trying to use it up (even putting it on the insides of my cards) so I can at least get it half down to justify buying the new stuff!
But I think I am going to fail when the Papertrey release happens on Tuesday. Have you seen all her cool stuff she will be having available on the website, BESIDES stamps? Tins, flowers, bags, etc. Oh, my poor wallet. It is not so much the stamps now, but all this other stuff. Why does she have to always make such cute projects??
The more the merrier - well, maybe not merrier, but it can't hurt. Knowing that there are other addicts here supporting me is really helping me do this.
I'm not doing very well at all, but then again, I didn't say that I was joining in. I will have to, but I will be going to a convention next month, finally won a bid on some prisacolor pencils, placed my (eek!) fourth order at Frugalities and I haven't even placed my SU order! Did i say my daughter was getting married 3 days before Christmas?

As I posted in the other post. I'm doing awesome!! Only spent $23 at club (ioncluding the $5 club fee). So I'm extremely excited about that!
I listed some stamps on the bay last week and they ended up selling so that's a great thing too!
I've been using up my CS by making envelopes too.
And lastly, I'm throwing out a RAK and will send 5 on these envies to the next person who post to this thread stating they want them. All I will need is a SASE. Gotta get this stuff outta my craft closet!
I haven't spent anything. I even went to a crop Friday. I have a $10 gift certificate for creative memories. The certificate is still in my purse. I used a lot of my paper Friday. Yeah, finally using some of my supplies.
I'm doing great, since I did say that I got to place my SU! order in my own personal rules. It's my first one of the new catty year (and will be my only large one), so it was a doozy! BUT, other than that, I haven't spent a dime on stamping stuff!

I added a clipboard coaster to my favorites What a great idea! I think we need to swap supplies. I don't want to buy new, but I need clear envelopes. Does SCS have a garage sale area? That way we can buy, but pay minimal. It still breaks the No Buying policy, but it's an improvement on over spending for supplies.
I need to join. I ruined my own birthday by shopping and spending money so DH said that what I bought was my birthday present.
I did good today, just bought groceries but I was tempted to go to my LSS, they are having a clearence garage sale.
My problem is that I can just sit at home, I have to go, go and go. I want to go to the new archivers they opened up in Michigan this week.
Last week, I did good only spending $7 at 2 LSS and nothing at my first trip to Hobby Lobby. But I spent too much at three bookstores and 2 clothing stores.

Still doing well here. I had considered going to the Stamp, Scrap, Art Tour in Pennsauken, NJ this weekend as Marcos Paper will be there, but then when I sat back and realized just how much cardstock I already have, there was NOOOOOO way I could justify going. I've also taken myself off of A.C. Moore's email list (for now anyway!) just so I'm not constantly tempted
I was trying to resist, but I made the mistake of going into my LSS on Saturday. I spent $57 (less than I usually spend). I made a card using two of the stamps on Saturday night, so I feel a little less guilty. Yeah, way to make myself feel OK about spending on stamping supplies in August -- my supposed "no new stamping stuff" month.
I'm going to a SU workshop on Wednesday, and I know I'm going to fall off the wagon again...
Well.... As I posted in the other thread yesterday (I think), I did fall off the wagon a little. (Er, maybe a lot.) I ordered two different sets of 12 Prismacolor markers from Dick Blick. (But they were around 50% off list price.) I also ordered an ink pad and refill from Stamp and Go. Then I visited Frugalities.com yesterday and saw the sale was 49% off so I somehow placed my third order. I had planned on just making cards yesterday. I even brought my laptop (wireless internet) to my stamping room so I could browse the galleries. I did make two cards. TWO. I like how they turned out though. I finally used my Unfrogettable set. One card was colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and the other with the Prismacolor markers. Anyhow, while I was waiting for the image masks to dry before I could use them with my stamping, that's when I thought to check Frugalities. Dang... I went through each category to see what was available. For once I didn't get any error messages! The good news is that I don't think I need to buy anything else from them. Whew! That's a relief!!
The only thing that I really need to buy now is the mini Scor-It. I had the regular size and sold it when I heard about the mini coming out. I miss it!! I also really want Stampin' Up's Happy Everything set. One of these days I guess I'll have to break down and order it. I do have a birthday coming up in October.....

Doing well. I went to the Scrapbook Expo this weekend and kept it to under $100. That is pretty good. Plus, I had already figured that I wouldn't start until after the Expo because it was already planned. However, I did save ALOT of money. They had the newly retired Basic Gray lines for $10 a pack. YUP, just $10. So, I bought a few of them and some coordinating cardstock and that was pretty much it. However, alot of it will be used up on Christmas presents.
Now, I am all set and I am going to start to mount some of my rubba and actually start using it.
I'm doing great!!! But then, I only joined yesterday. :-D I did stop myself from placing a SU order. And, my usual course of action in the mornings is to check the frugalities site to see what their discount is. For some reason, I couldn't access the site this morning. ;) So far, so good!

I'm still hanging in there...haven't spent a dime on stamping/crafting supplies, but then, again, I haven't stamped in awhile either...lots going on and my mojo is hiding.:(
The more I tell myself "I may not shop for stampin' stuff" The more I WANT to!! So I just go to the sites I love to shop at and make out humongous shopping carts, but then I dont click the send button!! LOL Y'know how it goes-- if your not allowed to have it, you want it even more!!! So I just tell myself Im can get any/everything I want, so then it doesnt seem so forbidden, and not as appealing!!! (yah, so I keep tellin meself!!!)
I'm doing good! I have sold a ton of stuff I don't use, and even though I planned to buy new stuff with it, there's still stuff in there I don't use!! I ALMOST ordered True Friend from the holiday mini last night but I resisted. YaY!!
Oh, and I know the Papertrey reveal will be tough, but I'm going to give it a go and wait until Oct. to order all those cute containers for Christmas Gifts.
Wow, great job, everyone! I don't have an issue with replacing things that run out. But I fell off the wagon a little yesterday. My stepmom was visiting and wanted to go to JoAnn's, and I had a 50% off coupon that came in the mail... and then found that *all* papercrafting stuff was 40% off. So I broke down and got one background stamp (only the second one I have), a few sheets of paper and vellum, and then some stuff I really did need - a gel pen, one box of brads, and more of my favorite tape. I'm going to need some light neutral CS sometime soon too... but really trying to avoid spending anything else. Although... my stepmom bought $40 worth of cards from me so technically I'm still in the black for the week.
I have been very good since I started this pledge, I only bought one package of plain white CS ($5.95) and 2 packages of colored brads on sale for $1.49 each! I haven't even placed a FIRST order from the new SU catty, can y'all believe that? I am probably going to cave on the punch box special, though, I don't think I should resist it since this month only you get the set of notecards and envies with it! I am having the hardest time resisting a few of the new in colors, and am trying to hold out until September!
Cara, I would love to have those envies, if you haven't already given them out! I don't think I could make them myself if I tried!

Confession time. I went to Michael's and did good - I had a 40% off coupon, and bought ONE brilliance ink pad.
But then...THEN I went to Hobby Lobby. And, since I just got a cuttlebug for my birthday, and they had *all* that stuff for 30% off - I bought the leaves die set, the mini tags die set, and the script folder. I came home and checked the mail - and there was the Olivia alphabet set I'd ordered, and the 6 (SIX!) background folders. It was like Christmas - and my husband's gonna flip when he sees all the packaging in the trash! And I still have another alphabet set coming in the mail.

I had to laugh reading these posts. Sounds like true confessions!! I have been very good lately sticking to my self imposed halt on spending. I just can't go into a store that sells supplies. Once I am there I always find some great deal, sale or new item I really need. LOL So I have been staying away.
I got the Joann's sales flyer in the mail and am planning on going in tomorrow for adhesive and stamp cleaner which I have run completely out of. I have been using up all my paper and supplies making cards for upcoming fall craft fairs. A friend and I are planning on doing a couple together and I decided to try and use up all the stuff I already have to sell. I am hoping to make a little cash so I can use it to buy new stuff like SU stamps and not spend any other money except for basics I use up like adhesive.
I've also been sorting out stuff I have in my craft room to sell either in a garage sell or on eBay. I have a lot of stuff from previous craft hobbies that I don't use anymore and it is just taking up space. I needed to get rid of it anyway and thought I could use that money also for new stuff I really want.
OK, I fell off the wagon last night. Stoped by Michael's to pick up craft sticks (needed for the Sunday School lesson I'm teaching on Sunday), and as I was walking to the checkout, I noticed they had new dollar stamps. And wouldn't you know it, four of those puppied jumped into my hands and held on for dear life.
I think I have done really, REALLY well -- considering I had to pack all my stuff up in July for storage for the summer!!! I had a minor slip the other day, I got a chance to get out without the kids to grocery shop and passed a scrapbook store - I walked out with ONE template to make trains for my son's baby book. That's IT. I figure a $3 purchase isn't bad, considering! I think the last time I did buy somehing stamp/scrap related was maybe May or June?
I feel off the wagon yesterday. I went into Radio Shack to get a replacement Car power cord for my DS's portable DVD player. They didn't carry the cord so i bought him a new DVD player.
Then I went to the new Archivers in Michigan. It's the first time I've ever been to Archivers. At first, I didn't find anything I wanted because DS was running around the store finding things he wanted (He's only 4 1/2) so I had to keep an eye out for him. When my friend was done shopping, she sat down in the crop area and watched him so I could shop. I found $25 of embellishments and I eyed the pink cutterpede straight edge trimmer. Well, for $50 I could get a free totebag (I'm addicted to totebags) so even though I have an old cutterpede, I bought the pink one.
When I got home, I found out the my credit card raised my limit by $2,000.00. I started thinking what I could buy, SU stuff, a new laptop.
I am proud of myself. I took the credit card out of my wallet and hide it in my bedroom. I should try the freezing technique where you put your credit card in a freezer bag fill with water and freeze it. If you want it, you have to wait for it to defrost giving you time to think it over.
