I am trying to find the cheapest place to purchase a Cuttlebug. Any suggestions? It seems that all the Joanne's and Michael's coupons now exclude them on their 40% off coupons. I feel guilty enough about buying one for I have a Cricut (which I love) but really want a Cuttle too!
Any suggestions? What I really want is the ability to use those new plates that cut out the scallop ovals, circles, squares etc. and to be able to emboss also. So I NEED one! Of course I feel like I need a lot of things but this is the neediest of all! Now if I can get rid of the guilt too I would be all set.
No, Michales and Joann's allow you to buy them with the coupon still. You just can't buy any Cricut stuff with them. I bought mine at Michaels with a 50% off coupon from Joann's about 6 weeks ago. I have this weeks Michaels coupons and they only state that you can't use them for the Cricut or Martha Stewart.
I found on on ebay for $39.99 from a person who is willing to take it out of the box and ship priority for 13.99. My total price was 53.98, less than I would have paid at Joann's with a 40% off coupon after tax. And even though I had a Joann's coupon to use at 50% they didn't have any in stock! If you are willing to live without the box, definitely a good deal.
I used a Michaels coupon as well and got it for 50% off. It was a great deal. I as well have the cricut but the cuttlebug makes a nice companion for embossing.

I just bought my Cuttlebug machine and the Spots & Dots embossing folder yesterday at Michaels, using the 40% off coupon. The machine includes one die and four embossing folders. Both items totaled 57.16.
You can also use the dies and embossing folders in a Sizzix machine if you have one of those or see one on clearance. I have a Cricut and Sizzix and didn't want to buy another machine, so I tried it in my Sizzix and it works.
Hi all..hope this isn't hi-jacking..sorry if it is..but i am going to Grand Forks and Fargo this weekend.. I got mine on ebay also, for less than I would have paid at Michael's or jo's. I did the math before bidding, it would have been 51.95 at mikes and I would have had to burn gas to get to the store. I paid total including shipping 43.98 on ebay and it was delivered to my doorstep. I've also been getting the folders and dies on ebay for between 3.99 and 4.99 with free shipping, dies have been about 4.99 - 5.99 (12.99) 8.43 in stores with coupon and tax.
Thanks carol..i guess that won't work for me then..as i'm leaving friday and coming back sunday..will be staying in Gr. Forks and only take a drive to fargo sat. mostly to go to HL. as i have never been there..
loves ya
PS: thats good dez. but with exchange and expensive shipping it would cost me more than that..as most of these things on e-bay are in the USA..

Chek out the price at wal-mart, now that they carry cuttlebug. I bought mine there recently. Can't remember the price but it was significantly lower than micheals.
The way that I get around the coupon exclusions (Can't be used for Martha Stewart or can't be used on a Cuttlebug) is to use a competitors coupon that doesn't have those restrictions. Michaels will also honor Aaron Brothers Art Mart Coupons because they are a sister company. Good luck !
I bought my CB with a coupon as well at Michaels. Now, I just ran into this problem at HL where you have to point out on the coupon that it's not a Cricut product...its Provo Craft on the CB accessories..to use the coupons...otherwise, they will not honor the coupon...

I just got mine last week as well and I see someone mentioned crazyscraps.com as where they got theirs. I compared betweent there and getting it on Ebay and I ended up getting it from crazyscraps.com b/c it was $59.99 free shipping over $50 and the folders were $3.74 each so with the $20 I saved in shipping from not buying it on Ebay and getting free s&h there, I spent $20 more dollars on FUN stuff!! I'd recommend there if you have not already purchased it.........came fast in the mail too. I've been bugging since I got it!

If you have a Hobby Lobby in your state they have a coupon every other week. You can go on their website and print one and use it at a Michaels or Joanns closer to you. Thought this may help...:-D

I just got back from Joann's....went with a 40% off coupon to purchase the Cuttlebug and they wouldn't take it. The coupon now says Provo Craft "electronic machines" (and we all know the Cuttlebug isn't electric) but they refused it. I talked to 2 people, 1 was a manager and they still wouldn't accept the coupon. Now I'll have to try Michaels.
Ahh bummer. I went in the other day and asked and the girl said no, but I told her it doesn't say it on the coupon and she said yes. So I told her I would come back next weekend. Now I regret it. I guess should have gotten it then. But is HSN's special a good price. You get a few dies and folders with it, but is it a good deal?
This is interesting. After reading the " current " posts I did a little research.
Even Amazon and Walmart prices are $65. HSN is $82 and you get 5 free exclusive dies.
Several other places ( like Crazy Scraps) are selling the Cuttlebug machine as part of a "Starter kit" and it says the items can not be purchased separately.
Crazy Scraps has two starter kits to choose form. Both have a couple of dies and a plastic pocket storage folder for the dies. Both starter kits show the blue carrying case but it is not listed in the description. The more expensive kit has extra dies and an alphabet die set and it is is $149 They say it retails for $241 Yikes
Several places show "out of stock" for just the machine
Scrapyland is out of the regular machine ( $59.99) but say they NEW BLUE BUNDLE for $85 will be shipping Jan 27th

My friend used a JoAnn's 50% off coupon at Mike's last week and paid around $40.
This is the new coupon exclusions from the Joanns site It now says die cut machines and accessories are excluded ! It appears they have changed their policy

I would gladly sell my Cuttlebug cheap to anyone that wants it!
How cheap?
I have an original Sizzix machine I use with all my CB folders and Nesties. It works for me okay but if I could find a CB machine cheap enough it would make life a little easier. KWIM?

I would love to know if you sold your cuttlebug or what is cheap to you!! i really really really want one .... i would trade one almost potty trained curly haired toddler for one!
I am reading my JoAnn's coupon and regarding exclusions of die cutting machines - "Provo Craft electronic machines & Cricut cartridges..." The Michael's coupon - excludes all Cricut and Slice products... These coupons are the most recent I have received and expire on March 6, 2010. I am in California if this makes any difference. Hope this clears up some confusion. You should be able to use the coupons on a Cuttlebug as long as it isn't already on sale.

I had quoted someone a price of $25, but the shipping is incredible on it---it weighs 12 lbs!!! So the shipping was $15 and then it really it doesn't become that cheap, unfortunately.
Now, if you live near CT and want to come pick it up, now that might work!;)
Hello, I just bought a Cuttlebug at Michaels last night and used their 50% off one regular priced item coupon. Cuttlebug seems to be the only machine that you can buy using this coupon. My CB was $50 cdn. I saw it at Walmart for $68 cdn...
I would love to find a place to buy embossing folders and dies for cheap now!
If you sign up on-line for Michael's newsletter, they will give you access to a 50% off coupon for a one-time purchase. I used mine and paid $39 and a few cents, including tax, in California. I found the least expensive accessories at Joann's on-line store.
